  1. soft vise the impeller then remove pulley bolt and pulley. shaft then comes out. hth
  2. if its not hooked to the plenum it cant meter the air going through it. i think.
  3. this may be ignorant but how do you expect to control the idle without hooking up the Idle Air Control Valve
  4. you need 2 batteries and sets of cable....this is how we weld at my house lol...no duty cycle
  5. its a 14mm w an aluminium crush washer. I use an elongated bolt from an ea82 w ac that I cut the threads off of. works everytime
  6. ....tried to turn left after leaving work one day and she went straight (lifted loyale wag in my avatar pic). outer tierod end had stripped under the castle nut. burned myself pretty bad on the y pipe putting a pair of vicegrips (for the hatch, duh) and bungie cording them to the tierod. scary drive home, even though it was perfectly solid
  7. check the coolant temp sensor. plus if you closed the coolant port to the base of the carb its going to ice up and cease to function
  8. the old ones often deteriorate to a state where they resemble brittle rubber rings. just make sure the new ones are firm, not like a regular oring

  10. my hatchy is dry inside, and i live near Nick. I had 3 inches of water in it. I pulled back the carpet and vacuumed the bottom, several times but it worked. Its a lot of work but it can be done
  11. ea82s have hydaulic lifters and do not require valve adjustments. make sure youre not a tooth off on the tbelt. if not, time for seafoam
  12. i ran my breather up under the rear seat bottom thru the grommet. same barb tho
  13. back of the intake, below TB. itll have a breather sized hose connected to it
  14. the seat was fully forward after my car was broken into some years ago. I accredited this to the ransacking of the vehicle, and not necessarily the height of the perp. sorry that happened to ya, glad you got it back.
  15. youll be fine, ive run both combos
  16. ive got several, come pick one up. i accept beer lol
  17. put it in reverse for a few feet. youve bound up the drivetrain from driving on pavement in 4wd. this is a no no. if that doesnt work jack all 4 wheels up and then try
  18. ejs offer not only more power but better mpg as well. not to mention fuel injection is real nice on steep terrain.

That car of Jesses gets my vote for most OG subaru ever. how many wheelers have been built, driven, killed, re-built, and finally destroyed all in the span that wagon has been bouncing around? answer: lots.
  20. its the lowest point. Ive had this happen as well. follow the "clean" spots. when you pull that camtower off, youre gonna find a camtower oring thats sucked in and brittle. I dont think Ive ever even heard of an external oil leak from an HG on an EA82. Having not changed the tower seals last time Im almost comfortable betting an HG job on it
  21. nice come up! cars gonna dominate! dont blow up that single range....im gonna need one for my hatchy (daily). keep an eye on the pnp inventory, theres an 89 gl in tacoma
  22. lol kidding right? cuz if not ill triple that
