I know everyone is apprehensive with throwing their money to a business that's just starting, or even a business that's been around. But that's why I started doing this (other than wanting my own bumpers/lift/rack). I didn't want to give someone my money and never see anything of it. I'm trying to keep the price down, as I know there's a reason most of us drive these older Subarus, nescessity, not pleasure. They are fun to drive, don't get me wrong. If you're interested in buying anything, PM me, I'll work with ya. Also, if you have any constructive suggestions, I'd like to know.

WTF is up with this Pius attitude. "You're not old enough..." "You don't have the experience..." "Look at my post count compared to your's...must mean I know more." Dude, it's not about age. And I would spend the money to have a 140 hp ea81 wagon, if I had it. Just to say I had one. I'm tired of this "you don't know what you're talking about" crap. Maybe we don't have the experience you have...I guess all of us didn't pop out with all of this knowledge, like you. We have to learn it. I'm greatfull of your contributions, experience, and knowledge but that doesn't give you the reason to act almighty. Water expands to over 1700 times it's size when turned to steam. (I know this from all my firefighter classes) So yea, not much to to see steam.

One for me. Can't someone make/find/show us a program or application that makes it easier for the person asking "Who wants..." to know who wants. Just like a list of people's names with the amount they want and maybe a "comment section"

I know there's a lot of business doing this. I'm interested in it. My friend is too. But I'm worried about onroad applications (if you meant these to be an offroad mod) because of the centering of the holes, and if you weld the old holes, I'd be worried about the balance. I'm not a mathematician or engineer, but I know that something being slightly out of balanced spinning really fast isn't a good thing. That said, I'm still interested. That's a very good price. Hey, I could probably make the jig for you, if your interested. I have a lathe, milling machine, and a spiffy angle guide (Allows you to drill a hole, rotate 60 degrees, drill another). Those look like the strut tops, looks like they'd work too. I'm sure they do, he's selling them.

Most people say go with the felpro head gaskets and then to the Subaru Dealer for the rest, including water pump and oil pump. The oil pump is kinda spendy, you might be abel to just reseal it. The "mickey mouse" gaskets, o-ring, and shaft seal. That's the best way to go, but if you're on a budget, fel-pro gaskets aren't bad. I've used Beck-Arnley (Spelling?).

Crazy, ever think of getting a small oil cooler for the ATF lines to run through. It could be mounted up in front of the other radiator. No special radiator needed.

Yeah, good points. I was told that Chilton's were better than Haynes, or is that for the electrical diagrams? I forget. I use RockAuto for my head gaskets. They're around $18 each, for the fel-pro permatorques. And for that hose, it's just an 1/8" or so line abour 6 inches long. Nothing special. Yeah, being someone's biatch probably sucks, so replace both.

Parts you'll need are: Head Gaskets (I go with fel-pro perma-torques) Valve Cover Gaskets Intake Gaskets Those are the bare minimum you'll need. I'm sure some people will add to or correct me, that's the safeguard of a forum. Some people will say that if you're in there, you should replace the water pump, reseal the oil pump, and replace the thermostat. Hey, if you want, go for it, but those can be done seperately at a later time. But you have to wonder why the car overheated. Was it the thermostat, waterpump, or a dumb@ss prior owner that forgot to keep his coolant levels up. OH yeah if you do it yourself, there's a little hose under the intake manifold, you'll see if once you start removing the intake. You should replace it before you put it back together.

Why a 3.5" lift? 3 or 4 are the normal ones. 3.5" material is odd. I could do the lift for ya...

Yeah, down with legacy's. They're a dime a dozen. Although I think a brat with a snow plow is more appropiate.

I know I'm no help, but Subaru actually marketed snow blades for ea81s. Someone will post the pictures.

That's why we lift our Subarus and put monstarus bumpers on them. As for the lap belt. It's good to have on, it'll stop you from sliding out from under the shoulder belt and being crammed under the dash board.(First hand firefighter experience). It'll probably lock up on you in an accident. Here's a test I thought of, put just the lap belt on and try to slide down off your seat, see how far you get...even without locking it up, it shouldn't be far.

I'm guessing fuel filter or fuel pump. You replace the fuel filter and it runs...it was probably clogged. But if it fixes the problem for a short period and it comes back, it's a sign of a weak pump. EDIT: Was the car running alright before this? Did you do any work to it?

Couldn't you get hoses to bypass the Pump? I can't remember if the pulley gets in the way of the rest of the routing. I think it does, if so, remove the pulley. I had a gl-10 that someone removed the pump on and didn't ever cap the lines going into the rack. I found this out when I had the engine out, so I just pinched the lines and called it good. Had no problems.

Well then, that could be a problem. Sounds like you need some PB blaster.

Next time let the Subaru back away from the attachment point?

Considering how I've been a welder for four + years I think I might be able to figure it out. I've made bumpers for Samurais and a rear bumper for a ea71 brat. Here's some lifts I've done: Those are all EA71 bodies with EA81 running gear. I think figuring out lifts takes a little more time than a bumper. I took offense to your words, I probably shouldn't have. I'll get more pictures and let people decide how my work is.

My friends and I are trying to tap into the Subaru market for custom products. I know there are a lot of other Fabricators out there, we're not trying to steal business, just tap the market that's close to the central-western Oregon area. We just did a 3 inch lift on caliplates subaru, he hasn't driven it yet, but he'll love it. We can do bumpers, roof racks, lifts, and almost anything you can think of. Try that or if you're by yourself, you can grab the engine and wiggle it left and right (with it not running of course). Maybe the prior guy didn't tighten the nuts down on the mounts?

I'm working on a "budget lift". I have installed 4 lifts, 2 EA71 brats, 2 on EA81 wagons. All 4". The biggest thing to tackle is the front struts. The one's I've installed have been working fine...they've been through hell. Here's a couple Those are 30" tires.

The RX awd D/R is my goal, but, until I get one, I might just put my dual range in there and get another regular 3.9 diff.

I have a 1989 RX and I'm going to convert it to a manual. Is there anything I should know before, it has an automatic. I know about swapping the insides of the diff to a 3.9 setup, as I've done a conversion before, but not with a 4eat. Thanks.
