  2. Exhaust, take the cats out, straight pipe. check this for the dual carbs http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=39045 what are you going to do with this car?
  3. I think they are asking "What is a refridgerator?" as in literal terms. Maybe they call it something else. A fridge is an icebox....let me find a dictionary defintion Bam
  4. you should have 2 fans, unless your AC isn't stock. I always thought all AC subarus had two electric fans...I know my EA82t did. as far as I knew, it never had an engine driven fan. Oh yeah, the AC fan turns on with the AC system.
  5. Yeah shows the intelligence of honda owners HAH...wait my fiancè drive one...:-\
  6. I believe it is is just a vent tube. By the way, how much for that RX of your's?
  7. Looks like a newer tranny. It has a hydraulic clutch. Does it have a rear output shaft?
  8. Hello all. I built a nice 2.25" I.D. pipe downpipe for my 1987 GL-10. I installed it all nice like....then I realized I forgot the o2 hole. DANG IT. So I'm running without it for now...which it doesn't seem like it has changed much....maybe it's been dead? Any suggestions?
  9. That green connector DOES bypass something. I know you connect them together to time the car. Then disconnect them when you are done. There should be a black connector by them, that shuold be disconnected too. That is to read codes on the PCM LED(Light). Do a search, you'll find the point of that. Connecting the green connectors is like plugging the vacuum advance on a mechanical Distributor. If the green connector is connected, you car is running in a mode that isn't meant for driving. I believe that the computer won't adjust the fuel to air ratio...i'll stop talking now...probably way off track. But I DO know those connectors.
  10. Is it the alarm on the trip computer. mine has a alarm clock that beeps just once when it reaches the programmed time. Just once...how is that supposed to wake someone up who can sleep through fire alarms?
  11. Can you get the punch out. My friend had this problem when he put his axle in and somehow got the pin in when the holes were 180' off. We beat the crap out of it. Finally I noticed that after all the beating, the pin was basically in the middle of the stub. On both sides, so I just busted out the crowbar and did some crowbartherapy on it. Nah, I just pried the axle cup off. With the pointy end on the cup and lever'd against the diff. I assumed the cup was harder steel than the pin.
  12. Very nice. How you going to mount it? I made the mistake of mounting mine to the body...then I looked at a 2.5 RS and it was mounted to the top two bolts that mate the engine to the tranny...mounted with brackets of course. I'm going to have to make some for my IC. Very nice I paid a total of $75 for mine, it had the BOV. Your's looks better!
  13. So, no AC no fast idle needed?
  14. Welcome to the board. Your car sounds nice. You'll find the board a helpfull and cool place to swap ideas and such. Don't worry about sounding dumb...you can't ask dumber questions than me.
  15. How can you test an O2 sensor? Oh yeah, my purge control selenoid is out...that could be a problem too?
  16. Fast Idle Selenoid. How important is it. I just realized that mine is missing it's wire. (Not hooked up)
  17. YES thank you so much
  18. OH yeah, does anyone have the link to that FSM that that one aviation guy has. It's for like a 1988 EA82 turbo anyone know what I am talking about? Thanks.
  19. Yeah, my car is running rich. I can smell it. I'll have to check that. THANKS.
  20. Oh....like you messed your alignment up?
  21. Front Half shaft AKA axle shaft or CV shaft. It's going out. Look for grease coming from one of the boots. It forces your steering wheel around doesn't it. My exact problem.
  22. I have a 1987 GL-10 Turbo. With a 5speed dual range. With an intercooler, no cats, and a cone filter. I get average of 18mpg. This seems pretty bad. I think, from reading other people's posts, that I should get at least 23mpg. Even when I don't drive it hard, I get about 18-19. I have replaced the plugs (NGKs), cap and rotor, and wires. I run either Shell mid-grade or Cheveron Mid grade gas. Timing is at 20' BTDC oh yeah, no codes either. Any tips? Thanks for yout time. [HTi]Johnson
  23. I have a set of Chevy wheels that are 6 lug, and yes, 2 of them line up and I've heard of many people doing this, with no problem.
  24. I was thinking of doing it so I could run bigger tires...you think it would be cheaper to get some Allied Armament Rims?
  25. That Fosters can is cool. Yeah here in the States Fosters is Austraillian for beer. Or so that's what they market it as to us. Always showing Austraillians doing some crazy thing then going to the slogan "Fosters- Austraillian for beer" I thought it was dumb.
