check the heater hoses mine did the same thing i had a bad heater core and hose , just something easy to check

10,000mi running great , on a turbo a/t full time 4wd 88 wagon

well the lines are all good , because when i recharged the ac i had to release all old free-on and there was plenty in there , when i have time i will fix the electric fan to come on like it should , i think i will take it to my shop and have them use a vacuum ,and get all the junk out of the lines and start over , all my fuses were good

went out after work and the fan on the dash 1-4 works now but no ac , ?? even afer running 10min , but hey aleast the fan on the dash works for the winter time etc...

ok, should i test right at the switch for power ? , i have 1 spare switch for an 86 , which is on the dash , all 4 speeds were working fine also

it is a 86 spfi a/t sedan fwd

i changed my compressor today ,charged my ac ,eveything was fine until the fan quit working , i checked the fuses all good , everything else works fine , dash lights, lights, radio, cigar lighter, dome, map, power locks, , what else should i check ? blower motor?

you can retune them , a mechanic that i know did mine

you will need a carrier bearing mount , it hold the drive line , are you going to go from a a/t to manual ? if so pedal box , the exhaust will be different from a 2wd to a 4wd , i had a donor 4wd manual gl wagon and i put 4wd into a dl wagon , a few things i added was oil pressure gauge + a 4wd light , and found real nice blue gl-10 seats front and back ,

did you put the fuel filter on right, ? did you knock any hoses off ? i knocked off a main hose when i changed mine a while ago

i have the same problem 88 dl manual 4wd wagon, new acell coil, 8mm wires, ngk plugs gaped at .45 ,

i used xt springs and it looks great

here is something strange , went to work this morning with my dl manual 4wd wagon , no dash lights , both my turbo wagon + dl have 8mm wires and acell coil ngk plugs , would the acell coil cause this ??

i took it off a running gl wagon, so it does WORK , just not kicking on

ok checked alt today with a meter , the alt is not working or kicking on ,the alt is good, i also checked the fuse it is good , is there something else to check ?

then after a week at alleyboys , come back over here for a few more days and help me figure the alt problem on my turbo wagon ,and pull the motor tranny from my xt

by doing all this on my turbo full time 4wd a/t wagon it get 23-24 mpg city, 28-29 hi way , but the hp increase was great , and the motor runs cooler

ngk plugs, acell coil, cut out bottom of air box and run a k-n filter , gap your plugs at at .45 , 2 inch pipe from the cat back ,turbo muffler , no center cat , if you have a turbo motor , i call it the big football cat cut it out and run 2 in pipe back , there might be a few more like bumping up your timming ,
