  4. i took my carpet and pading of my 86 spfi a/t sedan ,because the whole carpet front and back were soaked w/ antifreeze ,my heater core was bad , i cleaned the carpet and hung it in my basement to dry , no extra noise ,maybe alittle cooler until the heater warms up , lows has some stuff called extend in a spray can , but i have never used it yet
  5. has there been any break downs ?? according to the miles they still have aleast 1200 mi to go from SD , and over 2000 mi back , long drive
  6. this is what happaned to mine , 88 turbo full time 4wd a/t wagon , when we jacked up 1 side to rotate the tires , and did the other side , the whole car was really low , it came up after you started it ,but would go all the way down in less than 5min after you shut the car off , but after running the car and driving it was ok, all back to normal

  9. ok got another subaru , dl fwd manual wagon, 219,000 mi 88 spfi , the shifter seems real sloppy the clutch is good , any ideals on what the problem may be ? or bad tranny ? can it be fixed easy ? , thanks

  12. i just got a dl wagon and i have the same noise in the front , i looked and found a split outter boot , small rip , just my 2 cents ,
  13. i can buy amsoil oil for 5.75 qt and filters for 11.75 ea , a 35 mi trip 1 way , i still do not like changing my oil only 1 time a yr ,
  14. it is a 88 w/ 219,000 mi ,but i think it was towed around alot ,because there is a tow hook up on the front ,and the motor is pretty clean , the owner spent 500 bucks on repairs and the shop told her it had bent valves :D
  15. i got another subaru dl 5sp white fwd , no rust at all good glass ,good interior , tinted glass, rear hitch, owner says bent valves , new battery, the owner spent 500 bucks on timming belts water pump, and was told it has bent valves , the timming is off real bad or the belt slipped off , any case got it real cheap
  16. ok,it seems like it drifts down more on the drivers side ,than any other side , while the car is shut off , there must be some adjustment ? how about jack the car up on the drivers side turn the key on ,let it raise back up and lower jack ? would this help ?
  17. are the heater cores the same from a xt to a turbo a/t full time 4wd wagon ? if so will the hole black box fit right in ?
  18. drove it this morning , it came right up [ on hi] then it seemed to be ok, after a few miles it levered off and the light shut off, i will see what it does now ,after sitting a few minutes ,
  19. as danny stated it was fine , we jacked up the car twice ,,1 - time to rotate the tires , and the other time to work on the car , the light will flash when you push in the button and the car will slowly rise , but when you turn off the car and let it sit ,after a few minutes it will drift down real low , is there some type of memory ? since we jacked it up ? thanks for the help
