My "data" is one run up the east (steep) face of the pass at Vantage, WA with my turbowagon, pre-chopped, wherein I maxed the car out in 4th gear at like 55mph.... then I had occasion to take the same route later that year, similar weather conditions, post-chop, wherein I was pulling 90 in 5th and could have pushed the car harder. That, and 45 felt like 30 for a short bit whilst bombing around town. Whoops.

that looks to be from an 1874 Subaru "Horseless" Coupe.. IIRC those had wooden pistons for N/A and petrified wooden pistons for turbo...

Solo, could you please resurrect the pics for this thread and update us (me ) as to how they're holding up? I'm looking at heim-ing my wagon's strut rods but I was going to put the heims at the forward end instead... thanks! Andy

I've never been able to get a straight answer on this. It does mean "EA81 series" but I have no idea where "MY" comes from.

Subarino's on the right track - Mike W once told me that he wouldn't have mounted the side carrier the same way if he could do it again, because the upper mount is weird to configure to the car.

You could bypass the stock power steering wiring harness if you had to. Make an intermediate harness. It might be less of a pain than disassembling the car...

Hey Chux, have you tried MMO or ATF in the trans? My RX trans in the wagon shifted a little reluctantly from what I remember (it's been off the road for a couple of years ) and I appreciate the tip about the Rislone. I used it in my Barracuda with every oil change and I think it helped... Are you using it as a conditioner or as a cleaner (to be changed out after a while)?

this shot is taken from the driver's side of the car - note the starter for reference. My car has a 4" lift (the engine is dropped 4") which is why the hoses are at funny angles.. but it should help you!

the EA81T is a great motor but parts are hard to find. I have the dubious distinction of having bought the last OEM waterpump in the country, from what i can tell. If parts were plentiful, I'd say hot rod it all you want.. but don't.

keep the brakes in top shape or give yourself extra room if they need work, as I'm doing now with my car
