2002 legacy gt ATF leak, any ideas?
ShawnW replied to mercuryrising17's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXYou are sure its not power steering? Otherwise maybe the cooler line connection on the drivers side below the brake master cylinder?

Which spark plug wire for 1.6
ShawnW replied to rverdoold's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI don't think any of the USDM models have the coilpack off center with that style of wires. Looks like a basic 2.2/1.8 wire type but longer on one side and shorter on the other.

1994 Legacy GT - Repairs & Upgrades, A Build Thread
If you still need the struts Ill make you such a deal that shipping won't be a concern. I just got a car in that is getting Outback suspension put on and will have the springs and perches left over. Just a matter of paying for some KYB struts and $25/strut to mount all the pieces over. KYB Struts are $ 72.71 ea for the fronts.

1997 Outback Rear Hatch
ShawnW replied to mwbean's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXYou will probably have to break the inner trim on below the window and manually open the latch with the arm that would go between the handle and the latch. Then troubleshoot it with the gate opened.

My '92 Landcruiser: Safariwagon-II
Relax and take a break if you need to. The build threads are neat and enjoyed here. I don't think theres any reason for you to dig a hole deep enough to get banned. Ask your insurance agent about a garage policy. Its usually around $10/month. My agent allows me to drive a garaged vehicle for a few days if I need to and just flips it on/off as needed. Vehicles like my Turbo Brat get this treatment in the winter as I try to keep them clean of all the road crap.

I can sell you a pair of fronts that are already assembled with used front Springs and new Kyb strut assemblies, your choice on new tophats or not.

Legit Once More!
Hit a body supply and grab a roll of dark blue pin striping and make it all line up again. That'd be the icing on the cake.

EA81 Dual Carbs.
I have a setup with the air filter box in my attic. Been offered here many times with no reply. Lots easier to make an SPFI setup work than 2 carbs too.

Welcome. For small bits shipping from the USA is probably going to be ok, big stuff remember can be pulled from any 1980-1984 and later years of the same body style front end. Post a photo if you can.

hazy head light fixes
ShawnW replied to BlueSoob's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI just use Plast-x every other oil change. The haze comes back but its easy to keep ahead of it that way.

Sources for 2.2 motor??
ShawnW replied to Rooster2's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXThats a deal right there! Already pulled, ready to go is amazing at that money especially if they cover it at a minimum guaranteed to run right on startup. Thats the minimum warranty I will buy.

DIY for front wheel bearing?
ShawnW replied to sario's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXWhich is why most used automotive parts suppliers call themselves Automotive Salvage yards. I am sure everyone here understands but to review, the idea is to Salvage the good, usable parts from the vehicles prior to them being crushed. I would say its a bad practice to use wear items from salvage vehicles but items that can be measured and inspected to tolerances from the factory manual are encouraged to be reused. I install used engines, transmissions, rear differentials, interior and exterior trim pieces and electronic items all the time. Most of these can be purchased for 20 percent of the cost of a new one from the dealer and even better are available much quicker than waiting for a part from a dealer that has to order the part in. If a part is in stock at the dealer its probably one to install a new one of. If not, its probably good to buy it at the "junkyard". Also: Keep it clean. Don't call each other names and bash each others ideas. Challenge ideas and suggest but don't smash on one another. This is a friendly place to talk Subaru. Infraction points have been given and will continue to be given if it doesn't stop.

Testing Blue Antifreeze
ShawnW replied to subsince77's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI don't think it will. Those are for polypropylene glycol and the blue I believe is Ethylene glycol. You also probably know these don't mix well (gel). I don't believe that Subaru would ship a car that isn't ready for your temps. Did you check the owners manual or with a dealer to see what the blue is rated to? I am not near a jug of it right now but I will be tomorrow.
