  1. You are in the land of the king daddy of the East Coast: Moosens, located in Bridgeport. There's a Pines Barrens run in the making. Welcome to the board.
  2. Gotcha. Hope all works out. Contact Richie Rich for a replacement ride.
  3. Vilkommen. Good to see a subaru in the Old World.
  4. If you are that enamored with the old school subbies (as I am), buy one and restore it. They are certainly cheaper to maintain than new ones.
  5. Be happy to. But I've got to go moose hunting first.
  6. northguy replied to subGSR's topic in Off Road
Look at many o 5the members' rides. There are a bunch lifted.
  7. Missed the festival, but heard the same of the fireworks display. Good to have another Alaskan on the board. Maybe we'll do another meet and greet in a month or so if there are enough people interested.
  8. Thanks, Paul. Thanks for the info on the Barrens, also. next time, I'll rent a subbie and go 4 wheelin in a rental.
  9. Isn't this a new gen topic? (Not that I care, but you'll get more info there).
  10. Paul, where in the Pine Barrens can you off road? We stopped there on the way back from Boston on our latest east coast junket and walked around a reserve - spooked up about 60 deer in a 5 acre spread - but didn't see any place taht looked like the local authorities would be happy about having torn up. Also, sorry to have missed you. Maybe next time.
  11. They must be gold-belted radials.
  12. Welcome.Surprisingly, there are less than 10 Alaskans on the board: Cougar and another guy in Anchorage, AKBrando in Kodiak, A guy in Fairbanks, Snowman in Haines/Anchorage, a new person in Soldotna, and me in Chugiak. Are you from Wasilla or Palmer? Maybe we should do another meet and greet when Snowman gets back to college. What are you driving?
  13. Thanks for the invite. I'm sure there are several on the board who will be interested.
  14. Don't forget to check for Subaru parts while you're there.
  15. Check Mick's photo page for ideas. I think he had pics of a mount for his.
  16. Shoe leather is even easier to work on. Be thankful someone was kind enough to loan you a car.
  17. Bummer. At least it wasn't a 20 pound cinder block.
  18. We love you, man. If you can figure a cheap way to get your parts shipped to the (other) east coast, you'll make a million. Good luck.
  19. Paul, you must be about vibrating by now. Good score.
  20. It was indeed a good one. Got home and checked mail - no door cups? Would you check on those? Did you send them U.S. Mail - delivery notice, or registered mail?
  21. One could do this himself, but the odds of getting it right (no leaks and no breaks) versus the extra cost of having it done professionally is not a good risk. Spend the extra dollars and have a glass shop put in a new one.
