  1. The manual on = good way to deter tailgaters 2 million candlepower in your face!!
  2. for the most part I would say dont waste your time since its a 2WD DL... however.... it would make a good spare while you work on your other... then resell it for 5 times what you paid for it once you are done (like $100 to $500 I mean)
  3. of the green one above with my baja.... no I cant find any other pictures of it completed though I do have a from the rear angle picture of Zaps brat before it was painted OD green.
  4. I am awaiting the year someone brings a Brat go-cart or a Fuji Rabbit.
  5. or you could get some PAP doors and half door them Maybe even put a cup holder in the cut out part
  6. here is a REAL bobbed brat, chopped out 8 inches I think. It was mine but I never wheeled it... I just sold it for a $1000 loss
  7. A 94 legacy from NY to me is worthless (its probably all rusty and crusty everywhere) A nice clean PNW 94 legacy... maybe $750 for a so so one and $1500 if its really nice and has all recent services done. More if its turbo Ha I didnt notice how old it was either... but its not my fault it got pulled to the top so I will leave what I originally wrote...
  8. I would say its kid friendly as long as you camp at the "quiet end" of the campground.
  9. Score Order coming your way for 3 items PS, I still have a CEL :-\
  10. I'm with GD... use real metal. Foam just traps moisture and makes the problem worse than if you did nothing in the first place probably IF you are worried about the metal looking funny, slightly bend the existing metal in first, rivot it and then bondo over the seam. Then at least there will still be real metal holding the parts together.
  11. My baja said it was 107 yesterday on the tarmac. Had a little trouble starting it with the head/fog lights on and the AC cranked Then again its a 4 year 53K mile stock battery. Time for an optima, or to turn off stuff before I try and start it.
  12. ive seen it done, but for all the work involved... find a used hoist on craigslist for $50 and call it a day or borrow one... if you were in portland you could use mine
  13. i dunno, maybe pooparu can make a replica??
  14. sucks that the brat got totaled... get YOURSELF checked out really well. Dont want a back issue creeping up 5 years down the road from this and Edrach is the one to talk with about insurance companies trying to lowball you for what a brat is worth.
  15. since you arent going to keep the wiper maybe you can rig up the wiper motor and squirter into a rear turret for tailgaters Basically it would turn left to right and squirt at offenders til you let go of the button
  16. Sounds good as long as a fair value for your truck is being subracted from the $14500. Good job on not taking the beat up one. Its not "yours" til you take delivery which means taking it off the lot.
  17. Looks pretty sweet so far. You should be able to hook up the hatch stuff on the back window as is (wiper AND washer). I would just put a flat piece over the plate part on the former hatch so its all smooth and call that back wall good. Insert some windows in the triangles, trim the inside and top of the bed, and its done "that green and flag though, still throwin me" oh, I second that... though I live over on the other side of the cascades...
  18. Its a side of the road saver too.. My GL had the 2 matching belts and when I threw one the car kept running. I knew it was time to replace it when I saw the broken one peeking out from the skid plate. if only they had a way to double up the timing belts so THEY wouldnt leave you stranded
  19. could be the door seals too. My GL leaked dust IN at the bottom rears of the front doors. After a good rally you could see all the fine dust on the door panels.
  20. I like it for the most part. Seems like the structure should be stronger compared to a wagon, since all that rear part is still intact. Where are you gonna get windows for the B pillars??
  21. even if you could get them to work the tach would likely be off because of the different number of cylinders. If you want more guages get a GL dash cluster from 85-89
  22. 1. 2005 Sport (non turbo) 52K. No head gasket issues yet, manual tranny, 2. Bed extender is great, not sure if it works with other caps and such. The stock soft subaru cover is said to tear easily. 3. Interior looks good, I think the foam on the passenger seat is a little bunched up underneath the upolstry because the wife drags her @$$ over it or something But my driver seat looks more or less new still. 4. Exterior looks good. nothing falling off, have some rock chips though, the paint is kinda thin. What is this rust you speak of, none here in Oregon 5. Other notes.... a 3X8 sheet of plywood can be carried in the back, but a full sheet is kinda hard. The lifters can be kinda noisy on cold mornings. Studless snow tires are the shiznit when its nasty out Thats alot of snow for the portland metro area, did really good, never got fully stuck, but bogged down afew times.
  23. try this procedure... I dug it out of NASIOC Step 1. Sit in the driver's seat and close the door. Step 2. Insert the key in the ignition and turn to the "on" position (but do not start the engine). Step 3. Fasten and unfasten the seat belt 20 times within 30 seconds. Then, within 10 seconds, open and close the driver's door. Step 4. The chime will sound when you start the car, but it will not repeatedly sound if the seat belt is not fastened.
  24. fasten your seatbelt On my baja someone had already disabled it for me, but i recall something along the lines of turning the ignition on and buckling and unbuckling the belt mutiple times in succession. I cant confirm this works since mine was already done though :-\
