  1. I know Tony (soobme) made his own adapter, cant we just make a momo knock off (make something that allows a momo to bolt to it and fits the steering column, but is not a 100 copy)
  2. I dunno how much punishment the rims could hold up to either (this was brought up before by someone), they are lightweight temp use spares.... could they hold up to runs to 100+ Mph? Could they handle mud bogging and rock crawling? Hell how would they handle speed bumps and pot holes.
  3. Go with a body lift, not a suspension lift. (or a subframe drop really) Check with Scorpion (located in OZ) or maybe PK Davis here in the states will be having an EJ series lift soon... who knows
  4. Sorry I couldnt make it, I wish I coulda gone, but I had to work 2 hours today and my head gasket is giving me issues (and my tires are worn and my CV and wheel bearings need attention) I let the car slide for too long, racking up 40K per year takes its toll
  5. I dont think I will end up being able to make it... I do have the day off, but I've been working so much I need this opportunity more to finish up my Loyale so I can get it out of here and start modifying the BRAT
  6. I saw it... ummm 3 months ago I think in Beaverton Oregon I was with my girlfriend going into a movie so I wasnt able to talk to the owner. It was the one I looked at right? 6 lug conversion and black steels? I'm pretty sure it was it
  7. Hmmmm maybe the 3dr uses different mirrors than sedans/wagons
  8. Hmmm I DO have the day off. Though I am still kinda scared of falling asleep on the way home. I guess a 6 pack of Mt. Dew could cure that though Still thinking about it though... I have alot of work to do here still.
  9. Sending PM's to some of you regarding local Hood River attractions (hopefully will help keep us on topic)
  10. Only suggestions: Make sure to paint the door jams so it doesnt look hack when you open up the doors. Get a new front bumper. Sounds like its gonna be sweet
  11. I'd be in. I thought these were hard to find and cost more. $55 sounds good to me as I've only seen one car EVER with them. I've seen a couple of Ea81's with em (even the Grant adapter is still available for EA81. but not 82)
  12. Gonna go for best stereo at WCSS6?? Gotta beat them New Schoolers
  13. Its a 5 speed and therefore NO way its a turbotraction. Those were automatics only. Could be an RX or fully equipped GL, only the VIN will tell for sure (thought I found an RX in the junkyard and the VIN said it was just a modified GL)
  14. Have pics of how it was setup in the wagon?? It just seems that it would be too much "in your face" for the passenger having something hanging there
  15. Oh ya... I forgot to ask, what did you use to pull out all those tar pieces on the floor boards. Do you regret taking them out? (I imagine its noisier) I have alot of wires that are exposed now, but when I herculine it all I am going to get some of that plastic wire tubing stuff to keep it all safe and chafe free
  16. I am hoping for more old school classes (maybe not as many as WCSS3, but more than 5) Even if there aren't any more classes I'm still going
  17. If it helps... back when my 87 GL had a hitachi (also no ECU or O2 sensor) I purchased a carb with a different setup than came on my car (I forget what I had, 3 or 4, but the carb I bought had 4 or 3) Anyway I just swapped the carb wiring harness and sensors and it worked fine for a year. Just a thought.
  18. While cleaning my car from the run on the beach, I decided that the mysterious floorwell water should be dealt with... (just in case some salt water got in there) So I pulled the carpet and found alot of ducting for the heater. No surprise ive seen it before while installing my CB. This time though... I looked a little better. The old duct that used to run up the B pillar on 86 year cars is on my 87, its just blocked off. Basically its only purpose was to keep the carpet in shape. Since the carpet was yanked, so were all these useless ducts. The rear passenger foot ones still worked, but since I will be herculining the floors it had to go too. Maybe I can route it to be a secondary foot warmer (for those who know me I wear sandals alot ) I installed my GL-10 seats too. Less legroom, less headroom (than my XT seats) but my bum has a much cushier place to rest now Best part is the moldy smell is gone finally! And afew pounds of extra plastic and carpeting I am still trying to figure out a place to mount my CB radio (up above the water line) say on the dash somewhere or hanging from the headliner. (the car will be lifted someday and I know the Hatch Patrol people would lead me somewhere with lots of mud and water). I think I may install afew floorwell drain plugs too
  19. THats what I was assuming.... but I have a 0% chance of coming of I have to run in the morning session. If I dont work... MAYBE I could make it to the afternoon session. But the page doesnt specify yet.
  20. If its a halfway decent day (probably will be) I guess a light breeze and 70+ degrees
