  1. If you come up with time to come up to Portland, since you need a car, I'd show it to you, The guy has 2 other subarus there too (just not turbos )
  2. Looks like the kinda work I need to do to my brat to get it back in shape. Gives me more hope for the fact that the metal repairs CAN actually be done
  3. My craftsman adjustable torque wrench has ft/lbs on one side and if you flip it over it has newton meters I think it cost like $50 or so :-\
  4. Today I had afew extra minutes and stopped by one of those little used car dealers where the cars are packed onto the lots so tight you cant walk... but hey the cars are cheap. I found an 87 Turbowagon (GL) for $250!!! (4WD) For now I'm not saying where I saw it, the guy said it should be there for a while so I may snatch it up after I sell 2 of my cars
  5. the one i remember seeing was a brown 85-86 GL wagon with only the wagon part missing
  6. Looks sweet, but how is the visibility backing up with that tire there??? (Will it hurt you on the trail if you have no way to turn around Still looks sweet though
  7. I'm trying to hit 300K (non original carb and engine block though) before WCSS6
  8. Ohhh a fellow clod owner, I may have to get mine running too Have a mini RC rally X
  9. $2000 WITH those problems? I think you could get 500 as is or 2000 if you fixed them
  10. we do have one, click the get more link below the 10 main smileys
  11. A stereo competition may be cool, BUT if this is at the fairgrounds where the rallycrosses happen there ARE neighbors. Would it fly ok with them? I just wanna see Subaru Styles beat out all the guys with Imprezas The beer tasting would be cool if it was organized, but then the OLCC would be there possibly (and you dont want em there!), so maybe that part is just best left unorganized and a bunch of us just show up with what we want Friday night. (I found a new beer thats $9.50 a bottle
  12. I'm a beat up old 80's wagon too. Makes sense, my car has afew dents in the floor from off roading, cant seem to stay clean for more than a day, has no carpet, has a coolant leak somewhere (blown HG?) and has 287,000 + miles
  13. Notice how they ALL seem to have the funky 85-86 style front bumpers?? They are painted to match still, but especially on the RX coupe (3rd page) they just look kinda mismatched. Awesome cars though
  14. A lightened crank for my EA82 (carbed, 2 belt system) would be wonderful! I'd be in
  15. Dude, Russ, buy that wrecked $200 legacy up in Seattle and grab the engine, wiring harness AND tranny and sell the other parts to recover the $200 EJ22 Beerwagon
  16. Anyone have the mathmatical conversion to convert those figures into HP and lb/ft?? I'm curious what this thing has
  17. I dont think anyone suggested it, but are they genuine subaru belts? or some knock off brand? I've had knock off brand alternator belts be too short, maybe the timing belts are too?
  18. what about the super rare "transporter" I belive it is called... think of a vanagon with a pickup bed, I've seen a 4x4 one before. Looked sweet
  19. I wish we still had brats made up here in 92 Ya, the front end should be pretty much the same from any "EA81" vehicle that is 4WD also.
  20. hmmm ok maybe they do exist, but ive never seen an 85 with a GL-10 badge yet.... but ive seen many a loaded GL Looking at the brochures it appears the GL-10's are the rare ones with painted bumpers, Ive seen 1 or 2 of those, but never saw the badge, so those musta been it
  21. actually.... there is an 85 GL wagon 5 speed DR for sale in corvallis OR right now, has digidash and power everything (including moonroof), but its a GL, then again it IS an 85, so the GL-10 option wasnt available then
  22. Who knows, the fox trip could be rented in blockbuster video stores... Mulletville started out with just some film students and its rentable now
  23. They even have Dodge Caravan taillights. And the new ones have a car height front bumper :-p Kinda funny how the forester is ok, but an outback isnt... i guess there need to be lines of some sort though. Either way I'm just going there so I can flog on the car for 4 laps
  24. I know Tony (soobme) made his own adapter, cant we just make a momo knock off (make something that allows a momo to bolt to it and fits the steering column, but is not a 100 copy)
  25. I dunno how much punishment the rims could hold up to either (this was brought up before by someone), they are lightweight temp use spares.... could they hold up to runs to 100+ Mph? Could they handle mud bogging and rock crawling? Hell how would they handle speed bumps and pot holes.
