  1. I may be mistaken but what you are thinking is a cat is a crossover chamber. My boys and I ran dual exhaust on both rigs right after the crossover chamber. We purchased individual hi end cat for emissions purposes and placed them right before the cherry bombs on both sides. It does not mess with the back pressure and sounds awesome.......
  2. Order em from Schwab.... If you must have them......I like the conversion but run Pugs......
  3. I like the + EA82 posts.....I believe it was given a bad rap because mechanics did not know how to service and maintain it. Parts are cheap and readily available. Cheers, Eric
  4. I hate to over simplify your issue but you said when gas is poured into the intake it tries to start. When I was troubleshooting a bad injector the engine would fire right up no question then die quickly when fuel was burnt. You said it tries to start. I might retry this test again and see if it runs or tries to start. The engine should flat run then die.... If this is incorrect thinking I apologize, Eric
  5. Hey thanks all! I learned something. Just to be safe I am going to get new ones! Thanks, Eric
  6. Very nice Brat The above post is the way to go. Get a fab guy to help you with the frame rails.
  7. Scary question? There is a cone washer. Flat washer and nut....Where is the dished washer? I am worried I don't have them at all? Thanks, Eric
  8. If you search lift kits in the forum a whole bunch of pictures are posted on the process. Eric
  9. Got it finally. When I installed the lift I had all the springs compressed but all the lower ball joints were still connected. Yes, it was tough to reassemble without the strut compressors. I kicked the snot out of it an connected the lower control arm first then aligned the horizontal bolt. Thanks again! Eric
  10. I will give it a whirl. What does DOJ stand for? Thanks, "Eric
  11. You have soaked the engine harness. There is a harness plug on drivers' side engine compartment that gets brittle and temperamental. I bet you disconnect your connectors and blow them out with air. Install a little dielectric gease and it will be fine! Eric
  12. Hello All, It has been awhile. I installed a lift kit that was provided on the other topic. The kit has been cool and works great. I tore a CV boot and removed the axles. I replaced the boot and I can't for the life of me get the strut pulled in far enough to the center to reinstall. What am I missing here? Eric
  13. When you remove the cam assy cover the dis will come off with it. It can be done with out removing the motor. Eric
  14. Admittedly I have NOT had this problem. BUT, I do know that it is NOT an interferance motor. Knowing how it is set up though I would gues that your dist gear jammed because of worn dist. You might as well pull the rocker box or camshaft housing. You will probably have to do this anyhow. Eric
  15. No worries....Threadsert or Keensert.....There is another highquality sert on this sight and a couple of really good threads (not a pun)...
  16. My wife is a UP'er no wonder your postal....LOL. Welcome....
  17. You know the more I stare at your photo I think you might be correct. If the wrong axle was installed the it would be able to go it case the tires are dropped and the axle has enough room to go in. Once it was lowered it would bind up on one side. Cheers, Eric
