Foaming is caused from too much fluid. The Hyd system is like your heart, as it is not made to pump air. This can also damage your clutches as they need to be 100% wet evenly, Air can cause hot spots. Why didnt you just use tranny fluid for assembly? The jelly is like pre-gumming up the tranny. It may not even be compatable with the materials inside the transmission. Check the simple things first on the code, like the electrical connectors. nipper

Ok im going to stick my nose in here. i want some pics. i would like to see a pic of the engine under the hood with the hood open. A side shot of the right side (or whatever side that is the problem) with the tire off. I would like to see pics of the underside of the contol arm and hub at full left and right lock. Is there any frame rot on this car? I had an 88 GL that would pull axles apart. It tracked correctly, it would hold an alignment, but the subframe was rotted out that it would pull cv joints apart. nipper

Soobys have such wierd shift charecteristics. The Resistor (under the battery i do believe) is to soften i think the 1-2 shift. People have unplugged it and noticed no differnce. Right now Blu has a hard 1-2 shift when making a turn (not torque bind) i dont even think it still works. Other times the shift is as smooth as silk. I think its more noticable in a SVX transmission, where people unplug it for firmer shifts. You would probably do better by just chainging the fluid nipper

Huh? Exploding? I just think JDM trannies are a waste of money unless you can't find a used one in the USA. And any tranny will shift hard with dirty old fluid. Any AWD tranny will have AWD issues if the tires don't match, JDM or otherwise. We drive alot more and further then is custom for japan. Thats the only reason why wear issues show up here more often. nipper

Make sure you have drains on any hood type scoop, otherwise your engine may drown. The fresh air intake at the cowl actually gets more air then a hood scoop will. The sooby scoop is in the slip stream to some degree, but the base of the windshield is a high pressure spot, and will function better. nipper

Oil stop leak?

Stop leak for oil leaks works by swelling the old seals or gaskets. It's not horrible, but since most oil leaks in engines come from rotational seals, it may make things worse. I bet you need to be sealed, which means cam seals, front main seal, re-seal the oil pump. The rear main seal doesnt go bad too often. The seperator plate is plastic and should be replaced with a metal one. Don't srive the car like this for the reasons stated above. nipper -
