  2. LAst time i had it done that was 750, and it included the belt, the seals, water pump and the tensioner nipper
  3. Well sit down and do the math, where are you going to get a new car at 1500.00 (plus sales tax plus reggy fees and any increase in insurance)? nipper

  6. an O2 sensor is a good start, but if you have tired plugs, nothing is going to help. Do a full tuneup NGK Plugs Subaru Wires Fuel Filter PCV valve When was the timing belt last changed (curious). Then we have a good starting point.
  7. Ever notice how there is never a 2nd national bank? hehehehe

  11. I dont recall on the ea82 if that is true... its been a while. nipper
  12. well the 2.5 has two banks of cylinders I've seen it refered to this before, and i am not sure why. It can just be a generic OBDII code for a ailing o2 sensor as opposed to a dead one. SUbaru doesnt have any bank 1 or bank 2 sensors on the 2.5L, but this code does come up on them anyway. nipper
  13. If its the EA82, if you loose the timing belt the engine will survive. What i would do are all the seals, inspect the oil pump and think about replacing it. The idler and stensioner I would closely inspect and determine if they need it or not. nipper
  14. I just looked it up on the CT DEP site, they are multplying too. I knew they werent native. nipper
  15. So they got the part about it having 4 wheels correct then :-p nipper
