  1. Yes in most parts of the world our legacies and oubacks are large cars (and even in this part of the world). nipper
  2. LAst time i had it done that was 750, and it included the belt, the seals, water pump and the tensioner nipper
  3. Well sit down and do the math, where are you going to get a new car at 1500.00 (plus sales tax plus reggy fees and any increase in insurance)? nipper
  4. Ah yes, get yourself a 19.00 vacume gauge, it will instantly telll you if its clogged or not. nipper
  5. Like me, if i cant do it on ramps, im forced to pay for the work to be done. Though after 50 years i think my dirt driveway is faily well packed down. nipper
  6. an O2 sensor is a good start, but if you have tired plugs, nothing is going to help. Do a full tuneup NGK Plugs Subaru Wires Fuel Filter PCV valve When was the timing belt last changed (curious). Then we have a good starting point.
  7. That sounds about correct. This is three speed slushbox amde in the time of 55 mph as highway speed. nipper
  8. well marketing people arent engineers (and we should all be thankful) nipper
  9. I dont have the copy since it was sent via their webstie, and i deleated the response. I basically said that they hit the feeling we have about subarus right on the nose. nipper
  10. I dont recall on the ea82 if that is true... its been a while. nipper
  11. well the 2.5 has two banks of cylinders I've seen it refered to this before, and i am not sure why. It can just be a generic OBDII code for a ailing o2 sensor as opposed to a dead one. SUbaru doesnt have any bank 1 or bank 2 sensors on the 2.5L, but this code does come up on them anyway. nipper
  12. If its the EA82, if you loose the timing belt the engine will survive. What i would do are all the seals, inspect the oil pump and think about replacing it. The idler and stensioner I would closely inspect and determine if they need it or not. nipper
  13. I just looked it up on the CT DEP site, they are multplying too. I knew they werent native. nipper
  14. So they got the part about it having 4 wheels correct then :-p nipper
  15. Google it you will get that information. nipper
