That is like my ideal car. Im sure it has mad torque in 4lo. A big tip is making a cold air intake for the EJ22. You can get adapters at some auto places and make a cold air intake for like 35 bucks. It wakes up the 2.2 ALOT!!! Pics of the interior would be awesome. Also about how much was the swap in total? i really want to do this one day. I can do the install work and all the labor but parts wise how much?

Legacy, Me, Alcohol, Tow Strap, Bonfire Vs. Tree
A DOG replied to 574-240sx's topic in Vehicle Videos Online
Wow that was quite rediculous. Looks like a fun drunkin time but what if the tree came down right on the subaru? That would have ruined your night. Keep up the dumb work. hahaha -
Pretty much like an EA81 hatch with an EJ22 in it. That would be super fast. I love the tiny rear end. Front end needs tube fenders and it would look sweet!! Keep it up mang!!
-
yeah they should work just fine as long as the overall size is smaller.

Great pics man!!! That looks like a great property to mess around on. I wanna see the videos!!! That creek looks like fun and pretty deep. Gotta lock the rear end of the buggyroo though!!!

Banged up Loyale...potential off-road project...
A DOG replied to thatswhatshesaid's topic in Off Road
Since its gonna be an offroad wagon and you really dont care how it looks. Just cut the fender out rediculously enough to fit some 27in swampers on some peugot rims. Take off the front and rear bumpers and go have fun!! Dont forget to film it too!!! -
Hells yeah!! Those are perfect conditions for that lifted wagon. Deep slushy heavy wet stuff. Looks like your using that snorkel good too. Keep it up!

Got rid of my Pickup.... ...replaced with a 4Runner
A DOG replied to TheSubaruJunkie's topic in Non-Soob Off Roading
That is one sweet rig so far. You are gonna have a lot of fun in this 4runner. I have had mine for 3 years and it never let me down and out brawled many vehicles. Just lock the rear end and it will make it through anything. LOL!! It sucks i have to sell mine. Times are hard and im gonna miss it. but heres a pic of mine -
Thats what im goin for. i want other people out there to get a good video camera and start filming what these little beasts can do. I wish I still had my Mountain Patrol. Lets see some other movies people.

Wow man you have entered a whole new relm of wheeling. Sports cars offroad?!?!?! Thats some pretty impressive flex and wheelin with a freakin WRX! Props to you man. You are probably the first to take an 06 wrx and make it into a wheeler while still keeping the integrity and looks of the car. Yes a build thread would make us all very jealous and drool. hahaha

All the footage was shot in or around Bozeman MT.

So I finally got done rebuilding my passenger hub and putting new brake pads and a few other doo dads. So of course we went out wheeling to see how we did. We got to the trail head and of course there is a stuck stock chevy. So we pull him out and continue on down the trail. pics and video in next post. Goin up the first part of the trail was easy. But once we got to the first switchback it was all freshies. Wade started plowing trail with his automatic 4runner with 4.88s and 31in swampers. He did good. Then it was my turn to plow some trail. Baja Claws are AMAZING!!! These Baja Claws throw snow sooo far its great!!! Then after getting a nice trail goin up the hill I decided to cutt off the trail and go down into the deep stuff. DAMN IT WAS DEEP!! so heres the 2 other videos that show me just plowing through the snow. This is how deep that snow was. Up to my waist!!! and the pit bull bella in the ruts Wade wanted to try and plow some more trail Then when he was backing down the trail he slid off and we had a long recovery ahead of us. he tried gassing it to creep out but it just slid farther. get out the tow strap!! I hooked up to him and just kept pulling him all the way down the snow hill it took a while but we did it. heres the video of the first pull. i just kept pulling him all the way back. 4Runner POWAAA!! After getting wade out I wanted to take a couple sweet pics snowy axle Got them snow rims Sweet sunset and trees donuts!!! and before we left wade just had to get stuck one last time. It was a great snow run. Didnt break had a good recovery and did some rediculous snow!!

EA82 vs EA81spfi vs EA81 w/ea82 carb vs EA81 weber
A DOG replied to 3eyedwagon's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I had an EA82 SPFI wagon for a while and it never lacked power when I needed it. It had very good throttle response and control. I also did good in deep water, but I never took it too deep. It had ok low end torque but better in the top end. Then I got an EA81 wagon with a stock carb for a long time. I offroaded it all the time and it did very good. I did really deep water with it and it would just kinda float along and just keep putting through the deep water. After putting a lift on it I really needed more power to compensate for the large tires. So I got a Weber and It was an amazing difference! It had great throttle response (after you hooked up the throttle linkage correctly.) HAHA! I also had a ported intake and fully custom exhaust which helped alot with power and sound!! The weber made the low end torque very good and it roared through the top end too. I never took it up any really steep hills to see if the fuel would cut out with a weber. Which can be an issue. Heres a link to the thread with my lifted EA81 wagon: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=57959 If you want a smooth power band with better fuel economy than go with the EA82. I just loved the weber though. Heres a video clip of my wagon with the weber and custom exhaust done. It had some good power! http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=11084&cat=642 And heres another clip of it offroading a hill climb some mud and snow. In the first hill climb you can see how the weber just spun the tires all the way up the climb. This video is without the custom exhaust so you can get an idea of what its like with the crapy old exhaust. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=10980&cat=642
