  1. Thats a very good pic. I should be able to get the RX running soon and be able to come down to see it in person. I gotta meet up with Russ to talk to him now, since he left the board and all Looks like that car could use some rims. -Brian
  2. I was thinking the same thing. I dont wanna be wearing my hat and get a bunch of "whats WCSS stand for" questions. Its gonna be hard to make it more subaru related without ripping off the logo. I was gonna work some more in photoshop, but it seems the officials have decided on the license plate thing. That and i spent the day in the garage today instead of on the PC. -Brian
  3. Cameron had a really great article on fixing the lifter tick on our EA82's with step by step instructions on rebuilding them. The page no longer exists on the server, did anyone happen to copy or backup the data anywhere? I tryed the wayback machine but the images arent cached there, so there is only text. -Brian
  4. I like the license plate idea much better as well. But how much is that gonna cost to stitch? I was trying to keep it 2 tone and simple. -Brian
  5. Yeah, i'd like to get an actual mug, not a cup this year. I gotta get something to replace the WCSS6 mug that was stolen from me. -Brian
  6. I got a set sitting here next to me. Quality looks to be pretty good, no defects or differences between OEM. I havent installed it yet, but its definatly the best deal ive come across. -Brian
  7. Rob Im going to work on something else that doesnt have our logo... or a subaru logo in it. I have another idea. that may look better and have less stitches. -Brian
  8. Yeah i read something about it going to tex. Could have saved $90 tho. Oh well. -Brian
  9. Okay ive come up with my entries. and if you wanted to slim it down even more and take the "eighth annual" out: I dont think this is considered using copyrighted logo's, since this is the altered logo i made for the USMB a while back. Its in simple black & white, the person doing the stitching could use any color thread they desire. I vote for yellow on blue and white on black. I would buy one of each. -Brian p.s. on the back around the strap I'd put "west coast subaru show 8" or something.
  10. At least your dealership knows what a old subie looks like. I went to our local dealership once in the RX, and the lady at the counter was suprised when she learned my car was a subaru. She probably thought it was some kind of honda. I have a buddy that works the parts dept there tho, so if i need parts usually i ask him. But I find Napa to be alittle easier to deal with, now that i can use them through work -Brian
  11. Damn noah... you said you werent leaving until the 14th! I really could have used that block this weekend ( Glad you were able to make it over the pass w/out any troubles. Ive broken down once about 80miles past redding once on that trip. It sucked. -Brian
  12. Hey thats it!! Can we use our logo?? Do we need permission to do that? -Brian
  13. I love my hats, and i'd be willing to spend up to $50 for a good hat that will last years and fit right. Most the hats I end up buying cost between $15 & $30. -Brian
  14. Subaru's 1st 4WD Model was released in '76/'77. I Dont even think Audi was in production back then... I think the 1st Audi Quattro was in '80 or '81/'82. Regardless... Subaru stole their 4WD system from NOBODY. -Brian
  15. They might have a copyright on the logo, but i bet you they cant stop us from using the stars! I'll get to crackin! What kinda hats are you gonna get? Im a hat junkie as well, but can only wear certain hats that fit right. Cheap hats just dont work as well. -Brian
  16. Lift the hood. If the intake sais SPFI its a Single Port Fuel Injected model. If it sais MPFI, its a Multi Port Fuel Injected model. If it just sais SUBARU, and you have to remove that to get to the air filter... then its carburated. -Brian
  17. Do you have to sleep sitting up in that thing??? Sheesh, you got more room to lay down in the Legacy than that goofy tent on the top of it. -Brian
  18. There are a handful of people on the board who have taken their EA82T block and swapped it with a N/A block for higher compression. You wont want to run more than stock boost (6psi sounds right). Im planning this build, got the block in the garage... just waiting to get my heads back from the machinist. -Brian
  19. Dave this isnt the actual flyer Please dont attempt to print off any of these. They are just demo's, kinda brainstorming idea's here. Im working on a couple other ideas, just finding the right clipart has been tough. Should be able to come up with something soon. -Brian
  20. Looks like the race is on Russ!! Soobscript, im not 100% sure what the CR is. If you ask WJM you get one answer, you ask Caleb you get another answer. I do know, they are not turbo pistons. The turbo pistons are dished to allow the lower compression. Phiz, i will be running the turbo... yes I wont be running alot of boost. I was thinking of modifying my wastegate to actually run LESS boost than stock, then having a dual stage MBC to make more boost if/when i really want or need it. We'll see what happens, i have to get it running again first. -Brian
  21. That is the deal of the century right there! I have a real WRX scoop and Im stuck with modifying it or finding the one you have there. Maybe I'll have to start looking in the audi's at the Junkyards too -Brian
  22. Went out and put the engine on the engine stand. I used some orange hand cleaner and one of these scrub pads i bought... and cleaned the surface of the pistons pretty good. You can see the piston on the left, and the one on the right I had already scrubbed: Instead of clogging the forum with all the images, you can goto the gallery and view them all. http://gallery.usmb.net/album46 -Brian
  23. Hows this dave? Here are a couple other's i came up with Still gotta fit a subaru emblem in there somewhere. -Brian
  24. Dave, while looking for new fonts last night I couldnt find the subaru one. I know i have it hosted on one of my websites somewhere... I will find it and come up with some examples of how it would look. ANd for everyone out there... im partial colorblind. So if something doesnt look quite right let me know -Brian
