  1. Not sure if it applys to the 4", but on the 3" you gotta do this: Sounds like you got the rest of it taken care of without any problems. -Brian
  2. Look for local wrecking yards, or junkyards. Often you'll find a place that will let you go back and take a look. Since its a 83 GL you can use the body parts from basicly any GL, DL or STD from the years 1981 to 1984... just as long as it has the same front headlight setup (some come with 2, 4 & even 5 headlights). If that front bumper is metal, you'll need to find another metal bumper. But 1983 GL Models should have come with plastic bumpers which are just as easy (if not easier) to find. If all else failes. PM Moosens I know he can get the parts you need. Probably brand spankin new with any luck. -Brian
  3. That brat looks great Keith Is it smogged and everything now? -Brian
  4. IF you paid $7200 for that 2.5GT, i say you still got a hell of a deal. Head gaskets arent all they're cracked up to be. Goto Napa and buy them, rent a engine hoist and get to crackin! -Brian
  5. I didnt get my total milage cause I forgot to enter a couple gas stops into my palm. But on the trip up, i know I averaged 27mpg I was able to make the trip back home in just under 10hrs. I got sick of driving real fast, and wanted to get home. Got lucky enough to follow a couple ppl at 90+ and made great time. Mike, you still have access to the usmb.net galleries, so if you have pix to share upload them there -Brian
  6. Nope... nothing to do with the mud pit, or anything WCSS6 really. -Brian
  7. I got my CD's yesterday as well. Didnt have time to look at them until today, but WOW! That camera is great. I think im responsable for some of those pix, but dont know what ones Both of my CD's worked. I put some of Noah's shots in my Gallery, you can find them in the Subaru Shows section. Right now they're just Legacy shots, but there are alot of images I need to resize before uploading them. If you'd like, Noah, I can upload all of CD 2 for the people who's didnt work. -Brian
  8. I believe I know who it is, and the situation. Im not at liberty to say, but if it's who I think it is, then they know who they are. You guys can rest at night knowing its none of you. -Brian
  9. Thats a great photo Patrick. Mind if I use it? -Brian
  10. Yeah, he sounded pretty pissed last time I heard from him. To say he'll never post again, i think thats alittle far fetched. Im sure he'll return. Ed, i dont think it was me this time. -Brian
  11. Ive gotten a shaft with a 32mm as well. Had to get the socket, but other than that no other tools or parts were needed. Its probably a reman axle, and the shop had to hone down the threads and rethread it. Not uncommon, if it makes you uncomfortable just take it back to the store and have them exchange it for a CV with a 36mm bolt. If they have one in stock it shouldnt be a problem. -Brian
  12. I know... just bustin Rick's chops alittle -Brian
  13. No fair I wanna go. At least think of me? I can wait for the CD, there's no hurry here -Brian
  14. Got video of it now http://usmb.net/gallery/albuo73 The last few video's are of the mud pit. they average 4mb. I hope nobody else writes anything into the dirt on my car. Its still there, and will probably be on there for a while. Laurel did it 1st (with my permission of course) and took care not to scratch it. re-did it for the photo's and didnt see any scratches, but i dont really care. It would just be a perminant advertisement for LegacyCentral. Was going to put the USMB on the other side, but was packing camp when we did it. -Brian
  15. http://usmb.net/gallery/albuo73 The last few are of the WCSS. I have a few small clips of my Legacy in the mud. There are also a couple clips of Eric in the mud with his Hatch. Most of the files are around 4mb a piece, and i think the largest is Zap's 2nd video thats 7mb. I will do a better job later, this is the best i could get tonight. -Brian
  16. http://usmb.net/albums/albuo73/J_Turn.mpeg Thats a small 4mb clip i was able to get. It might not work for some, but should for most of you guys with Windows. I will try to get another one up shortly. -Brian
  17. Well screw the video!! I cant get my computer to operate right. The video is all MPEG and it wants to be AVI to edit it. And i dont have the patience right now to do it. Maybe after i get alittle rest. Sorry guys, the footage is real good too -Brian
  18. I moved them to my server cause its a pain in the rump roast to click on each and every of the 100+ images you have. Also, could you please remove #1648 :-\ And for the people who dont wanna click each link individually, here are her pix in the gallery: http://usmb.net/gallery/album273 -Brian
  19. yeah, give them to Jay to add. Or if you wanted to send me a CD i could as well. jay is closer tho. -Brian
  20. That really depends. How hard would it be for you to get a parts car? Check your local junkyards, and maybe become friends with one of the owners. See if you can get a deal on a tranny and the rear diff/everything else. It's a basic swap over, and I believe all the holes are already in the body, or marked for you. If your planning on off-roading it and want to lift it, this will be a good beginning. If you want to get alittle tricky, you can even snag the Dual Range 5spd from a EA82. With Jerry's kit it'll swap right over provided you get the tranny and everything else. You'll need the rear diff, diff carrier, wheel hubs, and possibly the rear torsion bars as well. If youre using another EA81 tranny, you should be able to use the donar cars driveshaft. If your getting the EA82 5spd setup, you'd want to have one made. Hope all this information helps, and keeps you from buying a jeep -Brian
  21. I dont think i'll be able to use those Syphon. Saw your pix and they're great tho. Zap, i got plenty of footage of you and Adam and also John in the ring playing around. Great footage of your hatch flingin mud. I will have footage up in about 3 hours, as soon as I get all the software rounded up and installed. Skeet, there will be plenty of them available. Not sure how much they'll be. Depends on how much other footage comes in. If there's not that much of an interest, i may just put clips on the net for all to see. -Brian
  22. I didnt take any. Well, i took a few with Noah's and Laurels cam. But I am assisting everyone with the hosting. If you have pix that need to be hosted, just PM me. With that said, check out Laurels shots too: http://usmb.net/gallery/album273 -Brian
