Yeah, he sounded pretty pissed last time I heard from him. To say he'll never post again, i think thats alittle far fetched. Im sure he'll return. Ed, i dont think it was me this time. -Brian

Weird front axle nut
Ive gotten a shaft with a 32mm as well. Had to get the socket, but other than that no other tools or parts were needed. Its probably a reman axle, and the shop had to hone down the threads and rethread it. Not uncommon, if it makes you uncomfortable just take it back to the store and have them exchange it for a CV with a 36mm bolt. If they have one in stock it shouldnt be a problem. -Brian

Wheeee!!!!!
Got video of it now http://usmb.net/gallery/albuo73 The last few video's are of the mud pit. they average 4mb. I hope nobody else writes anything into the dirt on my car. Its still there, and will probably be on there for a while. Laurel did it 1st (with my permission of course) and took care not to scratch it. re-did it for the photo's and didnt see any scratches, but i dont really care. It would just be a perminant advertisement for LegacyCentral. Was going to put the USMB on the other side, but was packing camp when we did it. -Brian

WCSS6 Video Request
http://usmb.net/gallery/albuo73 The last few are of the WCSS. I have a few small clips of my Legacy in the mud. There are also a couple clips of Eric in the mud with his Hatch. Most of the files are around 4mb a piece, and i think the largest is Zap's 2nd video thats 7mb. I will do a better job later, this is the best i could get tonight. -Brian

Help Sugestions or a trade...
That really depends. How hard would it be for you to get a parts car? Check your local junkyards, and maybe become friends with one of the owners. See if you can get a deal on a tranny and the rear diff/everything else. It's a basic swap over, and I believe all the holes are already in the body, or marked for you. If your planning on off-roading it and want to lift it, this will be a good beginning. If you want to get alittle tricky, you can even snag the Dual Range 5spd from a EA82. With Jerry's kit it'll swap right over provided you get the tranny and everything else. You'll need the rear diff, diff carrier, wheel hubs, and possibly the rear torsion bars as well. If youre using another EA81 tranny, you should be able to use the donar cars driveshaft. If your getting the EA82 5spd setup, you'd want to have one made. Hope all this information helps, and keeps you from buying a jeep -Brian

WCSS6 Video Request
I dont think i'll be able to use those Syphon. Saw your pix and they're great tho. Zap, i got plenty of footage of you and Adam and also John in the ring playing around. Great footage of your hatch flingin mud. I will have footage up in about 3 hours, as soon as I get all the software rounded up and installed. Skeet, there will be plenty of them available. Not sure how much they'll be. Depends on how much other footage comes in. If there's not that much of an interest, i may just put clips on the net for all to see. -Brian

WCSS6 Video Request
I saw plenty of people with camcorders. I will be putting together a film of the WCSS. Im mostly interested in footage of the mud-pit. At this moment, i have quite a bit of footage already, but im always looking for more angles and different shots. Please, if anyone can send me digital copies of the footage, or even Analog copies... PM Me here or email me at TheSubaruJunkie@usmb.net I would really really apreciate it. Anybody who submits footage will get a free copy of the finished project. -Brian

Official Thank you Ken, Eric and John Thread
I got the imballance as well. Had to scrape off the tires at a gas station. Was totally worth it too, and even under budget! For me at least. -Brian
-
Wheeee!!!!!
HAhahah!! You could, but you probably wouldnt want to be associated with my car, as ugly as it is... with that hood and all. This gas attendant last night said "thats tight how you drew flames into the mud like that" I said "yeah, it adds 20hp, makes it fast!" She just giggled. Another Gas attendant asked "Have been out rally'n?" I just told him i returned from a Subaru show. -Brian

Wheeee!!!!!
She has a name, and its Laurel. It was funny, cause before we entered the pit, we had like 4 or 5 people comming up to me warning me to drive carefully and whatnot. After the 3rd person aproached the car, laurel started to get really worried. But overall, i think she had fun. This was just a mud run tho, the actual rally was held on the grassy field. -Brian

BRAT shifter kart body, props to Moosens, and what is wrong with New Jersey
The idea of automobile drivers creating a hazard by pumping their own gas is obsurd. It only causes trouble down the road. More than once I've seen people with Oregon plates on their cars, at a California gas station stand there and scratch their heads cause they dont know how to operate a fuel pump. That is plain stupid. It should not only be a right, but also a responsablilty as a car owner to pump your own gas. I feel the same way you do SubaruBrat, I dont like anybody touching my car... no matter what its for. And those gas nozzles are made of metal, and any half witted ******* in a chevron uniform can scratch the crap out of your car with one. The go-kart idea sounds great. Do you have all the parts you need? -Brian
-
Wheeee!!!!!
Some of the best fun I've ever had: and I dont think I wanna ever wash the mud off either -Brian

Tired, Sunburnt and Broken, but made it Home!!
Adam, the board gallery resizes all the images. If you find time, can you send me the ones of my car in the mud, but the originals? 7 hours??? I made the trip from HR to Sacramento in 9 hours. But I was also lucky enough to follow a Riced honda at 95+ and also a Lexus at 110+. Then in Redding I got behind a WRX. I think he heard my exhaust or something cause he romped on it... and I followed him up to 110, but backed off cause it was Redding, and CHP is everywhere. Mud pit was the best! I think there shoulda been a mud drag, instead of those ditches dug in the center of the track. -Brian
