I saw plenty of people with camcorders. I will be putting together a film of the WCSS. Im mostly interested in footage of the mud-pit. At this moment, i have quite a bit of footage already, but im always looking for more angles and different shots. Please, if anyone can send me digital copies of the footage, or even Analog copies... PM Me here or email me at TheSubaruJunkie@usmb.net I would really really apreciate it. Anybody who submits footage will get a free copy of the finished project. -Brian

HAhahah!! You could, but you probably wouldnt want to be associated with my car, as ugly as it is... with that hood and all. This gas attendant last night said "thats tight how you drew flames into the mud like that" I said "yeah, it adds 20hp, makes it fast!" She just giggled. Another Gas attendant asked "Have been out rally'n?" I just told him i returned from a Subaru show. -Brian -

She has a name, and its Laurel. It was funny, cause before we entered the pit, we had like 4 or 5 people comming up to me warning me to drive carefully and whatnot. After the 3rd person aproached the car, laurel started to get really worried. But overall, i think she had fun. This was just a mud run tho, the actual rally was held on the grassy field. -Brian -

What seat cover? -Brian -
The idea of automobile drivers creating a hazard by pumping their own gas is obsurd. It only causes trouble down the road. More than once I've seen people with Oregon plates on their cars, at a California gas station stand there and scratch their heads cause they dont know how to operate a fuel pump. That is plain stupid. It should not only be a right, but also a responsablilty as a car owner to pump your own gas. I feel the same way you do SubaruBrat, I dont like anybody touching my car... no matter what its for. And those gas nozzles are made of metal, and any half witted ******* in a chevron uniform can scratch the crap out of your car with one. The go-kart idea sounds great. Do you have all the parts you need? -Brian

Some of the best fun I've ever had: and I dont think I wanna ever wash the mud off either -Brian

Adam, the board gallery resizes all the images. If you find time, can you send me the ones of my car in the mud, but the originals? 7 hours??? I made the trip from HR to Sacramento in 9 hours. But I was also lucky enough to follow a Riced honda at 95+ and also a Lexus at 110+. Then in Redding I got behind a WRX. I think he heard my exhaust or something cause he romped on it... and I followed him up to 110, but backed off cause it was Redding, and CHP is everywhere. Mud pit was the best! I think there shoulda been a mud drag, instead of those ditches dug in the center of the track. -Brian

I Found it. Stopped in Klammath Falls to get gas. I popped my hood and filled the res. full of water and then went to shut the hood... but then I heard ALOT of boiling water, and what sounded like a water gun shooting. Then I looked under the radiator hose (the one you suggested I tighten Austin) and directly under the hose were 3 streams of water shooting from the radiator Seems as if the radiator is leaking itself. The car never got hot at all, and the holes are at the top of the radiator, right under the hose so im sure its 98% full of water at all times. But yeah, found the leak, need a new radiator :\ Maybe this will be a good excuse to start replacing old hoses and such. -Brian

I dont really plan on stopping anywhere other than gas stations along the way. My main objective is to get to and from the show with as little trouble as possible. Is Tony going to be driving with your group? If so, i have his cell and can remain in touch with him. We'll also have CB's and i'll be on Chan 5 the whole time. -Brian -
I dunno if I'll be rolling through K-Falls on Thursday afternoon, or Friday afternoon. Depends on when I get 100% prepared for the trip and roll out of Sacramento. I still wanna meet up in Bend if there's something setup for that. But if everyone is trying to get the show asap, then I have no problem with taking 5 the entire way. I finally got ahold of Mike from Southern Cali, and we'll be colaborating. Adam, if you get a chance hop on Yahoo and IM me. -Brian

He's right. 3.9 it is. It's a '82 and I dont believe there were any 3.7's at all back then. -Brian

Show and tell without the "show"

I liked him better in his RX. Will be great to see him again, havent seen him since WCSS3. Sounds like a load of fun tho. -Brian -
When will you guys be passing through Sacramento? I still havent heard a single word from Mike. At this time, im only aware of 2 subaru's comming from Southern Cali. I may just bypass the caravan and head up Thursday night, go straight to Hood river and be there Friday morning. Not sure if I should wait in Sacramento for the caravan or what. So who's gonna come from the Southern California through to the WCSS? -Brian
