  1. I Found it. Stopped in Klammath Falls to get gas. I popped my hood and filled the res. full of water and then went to shut the hood... but then I heard ALOT of boiling water, and what sounded like a water gun shooting. Then I looked under the radiator hose (the one you suggested I tighten Austin) and directly under the hose were 3 streams of water shooting from the radiator Seems as if the radiator is leaking itself. The car never got hot at all, and the holes are at the top of the radiator, right under the hose so im sure its 98% full of water at all times. But yeah, found the leak, need a new radiator :\ Maybe this will be a good excuse to start replacing old hoses and such. -Brian
  2. He had it running at the show. I was there when he got it started, and also when he drove it off the trailer. The car is looking good. Still won 2 awards in its condition at the WCSS. -Brian
  3. Noah, you KNOW i want a copy! -Brian
  4. Exactly!! What a great show guys. Ken and Eric, you outdid yourselfs this time. Lets hope next years show is just as good, if not better. It was good seeing all my old subaru friends again, and meeting quite a few new faces. Subi81... you were there? Did we meet? Anyhow, i just got done with a 9hr drive... and im exhausted. -Brian
  5. NV Zeno is already in Bend. I am hoping to leave tonight, and make 3 or 4 hours of driving. THat should put me in Weed CA. Then i can leave from there tomorrow and head to Bend Or. to meet Dave and everyone else. ETA in Bend: 4pm. From there we can head to HR. Make it to the fairgrounds by Friday night. -Brian
  6. Awesome. came back to copy & Paste, thinking I was gonna have to parse it all. But you took care of it Thanks. -Brian
  7. Thanks for putting it in lamemans terms for us Zap That will be alot easier to read from my palm pilot. -Brian
  8. If its possible I could lend a hand. The only thing on the list i'd be any good at would be timing/scoring. I dont plan on running my car (but i do want to, just want it to drive home) so that should free up some time to help. -Brian
  9. I dont really plan on stopping anywhere other than gas stations along the way. My main objective is to get to and from the show with as little trouble as possible. Is Tony going to be driving with your group? If so, i have his cell and can remain in touch with him. We'll also have CB's and i'll be on Chan 5 the whole time. -Brian
  10. I dunno if I'll be rolling through K-Falls on Thursday afternoon, or Friday afternoon. Depends on when I get 100% prepared for the trip and roll out of Sacramento. I still wanna meet up in Bend if there's something setup for that. But if everyone is trying to get the show asap, then I have no problem with taking 5 the entire way. I finally got ahold of Mike from Southern Cali, and we'll be colaborating. Adam, if you get a chance hop on Yahoo and IM me. -Brian
  11. He's right. 3.9 it is. It's a '82 and I dont believe there were any 3.7's at all back then. -Brian
  12. I'll be in the legacy. Wont have the wagon, but wont have a problem getting the legacy dirty either. My bald street tires should make fun of the AWD We're looking at a possible early friday morning arival. -Brian
  13. Ok, so I'm leaving Thursday night then. I just cant wait any longer. Dave you have my # so gimme a call and lemme know what's going on. -Brian
  14. I liked him better in his RX. Will be great to see him again, havent seen him since WCSS3. Sounds like a load of fun tho. -Brian
  15. When will you guys be passing through Sacramento? I still havent heard a single word from Mike. At this time, im only aware of 2 subaru's comming from Southern Cali. I may just bypass the caravan and head up Thursday night, go straight to Hood river and be there Friday morning. Not sure if I should wait in Sacramento for the caravan or what. So who's gonna come from the Southern California through to the WCSS? -Brian
  16. Dave brought up a good point. CB's. if you got them, install them, and bring them along. We'll be on Channel 5. The LA Crew... you guys planning on being in Sac thursday night or Friday morning? -Brian
  17. Dave, i'll have my "Camp in a bag" with a new stove and new tent hopefully So reserve a spot for my tent. I will most likely be rolling into Hood River saturday around noon. Give or take an hour. -Brian
  18. I plan on leaving Sacramento as early Friday morning as I can. I assume the L.A. people will have already been here by then. From there, we should be in Klammath falls by mid-afternoon Friday, and that will put us in Bend Friday night. I could make it from Sacramento to Hood River in one day, but I would leave every EA81 behind me. Those of you driving in EA81's should plan on sleeping in Bend, unless you want to roll into H.R. early Saturday morning. -Brian
  19. YEAH KEN!! C'MON!!!! You guys suck, im so jealous. I've been staring at my lifted wagon, which has been parked in the garage for the past few months. Im itchin to get it dirty again, but for the time being the only thing I have left are pictures. So, with that being said... SHOW US THE PIX!! -Brian
  20. Something I whiped up in PhotoShop after reading this post. Sounds like a good idea, would make for better storage. If its done, possibly have an enclosed storage with inside access. And have outside access via an lockable panel in the rear of the bed I dont know about any extra seating tho... that might have to involve a EA81 Wagon+Brat. -Brian
  21. Your right. I did the calculation after I replied. You shouldnt have much of a problem and the 205 should be skinnier. Your going to want to pay close attention to the offset of the rim though, or risk the failure of your wheelbearings. Im not sure what the stock offset is off hand, but any EA81 series rim should have it labled. Oh, and about the wheel comment, didnt mean any harm. Just something I'd expect to see on a suburban or something. It wouldnt be hard to redrill a complete set of hubs though, and will work well with the rear disk conversion. -Brian
  22. You'll have a hard time stuffing 16" rims under your car without any lift. 15" rims and 215/60R15's were about as big as I'd ever wanna go with an unlifted rig. Plus you wouldnt wanna put those fugly rims on your brat, would you? Might as well getchya some of those chrome spinners. -Brian
  23. Tims right man... sorry, but you have priority's. Tell the wife to screw the furniture, YOU HAVE A BRAT TO PROTECT!!! I was watching CNN and all they can talk about is that hurricane. They had footage of a building that was toppled. Some dude stored his 1/2 restored '55 Chevy pickup in a brick shed for protection and the poor thing was crushed when the bricks fell on it So maybe it is better outside. Store it in a field, empty field with nothing in a 20mile radius Then it should be safe. -Brian
