  1. Thanks. I like it as well... will go good as a universal logo. Text im not too worried about. I was shooting for something that we can stick on business cards, letterhead, decals... and that way the text would be added with whatever document. The full-color version just shows how color-blind i am. -Brian
  2. Gave you all the info i had... lemme know if you were able to find anything. -Brian
  3. The rear diff's should have the same count on them. I would say get a bigger hammer... maybe put the CV in the vise, and hammer on the diff. They're pretty tough... right? hehe -Brian
  4. Even if it is a rust bucket or rusty, its still a good deal. im going for the CIS more for its basic operation. No sensors or complicated computers. Also, since its never been done before, we dont know how it'll work. There is a guy here who did the CIS conversion on a EA82, but i'd like to see what it'll do on the EA81. -Brian
  5. Yeah, im affraid of the electronic's, but thats the beauty of CIS. its all self contained, and there are no computers to control Pulse. Its a constant flow of fuel thats just regulated by the incomming air. Weber would be nice... but a new weber would cost $300... not to mention, ive already paid for one and am awaitiing its arival via Cameron, which could take years at this pace. I'm almost positive i can get this EA81T complete for less than $300. -Brian
  6. Well, anyone who wants it is more than welcome to come to sacramento to get it. But if i end up with it, i cant park it... or fix it. My '84 Wagon needs parts, and i need a MPFI engine for the CIS experiment. So this is a likely candidate. Its gonna kill me to strip it, but i really have no choice. If I do look at it, and its too mint... i would consider repairing it and driving it... but my '84 is screaming for EFI. -Brian
  7. Awesome! There's room for more logo's... hell, we could almost setup a entire line of clothing with all the examples we're getting. Hit me up on Yahoo if you see me on. -Brian
  8. This is something i came up using the drawing Heartless came up with And colored in B&W: And colored: -Brian
  9. I talked to Rick, and Ive also been trying to get Mudrat to come down too. But he'll most likely be swamped. Invited Andrew and Russ, but they'll need to supply a 4WD car. -Brian
  10. You guys are real friends Everybody else here i tell say the same thing. I could really use it for parts. Im thinking of picking it up and stripping it. My 84 Wagon needs new seats and interior pieces, grill & hood. Also, the MPFI heads and intake will work perfectly for the CIS experiment. Also, if its an original california car, its more than likely rust free and straight, so there might be some Turbo parts comming avail soon. -Brian
  11. I just did a clutch in my wagon last night as well. My car actually feels sluggish, but i doubt its my clutch... prolly just the lame EA81 under the hood. Your setup with that H6, and that thing puts out alot. You should be unstoppable soon. -Brian
  12. I'll be driving my wagon up to see Adam, Tony and the gang. I have vacation aproved from Feb 28 through March 2nd. Since I'll be ariving in Medford Feb 28th, it would probably be best to have the trip on Sunday the 29th. Unless there are enough people with a free Monday, we could go on the 1st. Tony and Adam, do you guys know of some good places to do a full day of wheelin? -Brian
  13. I wish I could make it tomorrow. Got the clutch in on the wagon tonight, but will spend the day tomorrow running errands, then heading to a friends for a superbowl sunday party. Lemme know if there are any new gems in the yard. Dont forget to check the small truck section for brats. Thats where i found a fully loaded turbo brat. Had rollbar and brushguard, both of which i ended up with. -Brian
  14. Hahaha.... Dont know why I even asked to have someone stop me, i knew it wouldnt happen. I'll go check it out tomorrow. I gotta take this engine hoist back, and the dude works there. So i'll call him up and take it for a drive. With a sticky valve, should I still do a compression check??? or will the valve mess with the numbers. -Brian
  15. There's no winter here in Cali. I do need an engine for my CIS conversion, and this is the one i need. I'll take it for a test drive, and see if that Sticky valve is a cracked head or not. -Brian
  16. I went to my old employer, United Rentals, to pick up an engine hoist today. Ended up getting a free rental for the weekend (SCORE!). While im in there, one of the yard boys asks me "So, you like Subaru's?" DUH!!! Anyhow, he sais he has a '84 GL Wagon that he needs to get rid of. Sais its running on only 3 cyls, and that its an auto (YUCK!). I ask if its 4WD, and he sais yes... then add's that its MPFI. So i question the year, and then he adds that its turbo'd. So... he sais he's looking to get $350 for the car. He told me it has a sticky valve, but runs good and said he'd guarantee it'd pass if i could get it running on all 4 again. Someone here has to tell me not to get this, or else i'm going to have to start parking on my lawn again. -Brian
  17. If it runs along the side of the car, it should match. The window sticker and reciept of sale lables it with "Safari" options... so i'll call it the Safari Package Would love to have some 4 Wheel Drive decals for the side... workin on getting a dual carb setup. The rear tank, if its for a Gen1, would look beautiful on this rig. -Brian
  18. I dont have a hoist or jack (as stated in my original post). The garage is small, but its not as bad as working outside by all means. I think i'll just go rent a hoist and pull the engine. it needs a re-seal anyhow. -Brian
  19. Last time i did this job, i pulled the engine. It was easier that way, but now that my Sube is lifted, would it be easier to drop the tranny instead? The throwout bearing in the 84 Wagon is gone. Makes a god awful noise while the clutch is in. Doesnt have much longer, and i need to replace it soon... and still have time to drive to work the next day. I dont have access to a hoist or a tranny jack, so im trying to juggle my options. -Brian
  20. yeah, dont worry about it. You got the right Radiator. those lines are for AT trannies. I was thinking of using the ones on my rad for the engine oil, but doubt our pumps would be strong enough to move oil in and out of there. Anyhow, with mine, i have a hose that just connects both outlets, just so crap doesnt get up in there and ruin it. -Brian
  21. I need some 4WD Decals for the Gen1, and the FSM. I know you told me not to reply, but those decals would really set off the "safari" package that my Gen1 has. -Brian
  22. Erik, lemme know if your going to head to PnP. I need to go, and have Sunday off... maybe we can meet up and make a run out there. -Brian
  23. Seafoam is great for gas and throttle body, but I live by MMO. Nothing makes my car run better than choking it to death a few times with MMO. Maybe because my car is 20 years old, and carburated. I usually run with 1qt in the crank, but since the car leaks so much oil, it probably doesnt stay in for long. If you want to use it, just add 1qt to your crank after an oil change. Then just top the oil off with regular 10/30 or 20/50, whichever you use. If you are going to use it in the gas, just add it to the tank as specified. I usually put a quart in with a 10gal fill up every other month or so. Seafoam seems alittle more harsh on the engine than a good shot of MMO. -Brian
  24. I havent even started to work on the car. Its run twice since i brought it home, once to move it out of the garage, and once to move it back in. At the moment, im working on getting my '84 to pass smog. That needs an entire exhaust, if not more work. After thats said and done, i'll start working on the '78. Right now, there is so much oil everywhere, i cant tell which is new, and which is old. I will take the car to the carwash and degrease the engine then start to work on it. -Brian
  25. You guys got 5 rigs? Find 5 members, have them line their cars up, on each hood put 1 letter All 5 cars can spell out SCARE. Just an idea.... -Brian
