Saw the BRAT at the shop today.... *Pic added*
Here's one: Its still a baby. I believe he JUST finished the project, and got a new engine in it. After the paint job and breakin period, we'll probably see more pix of it in action. -Brian

Need Part ### for turbo muffler
Any muffler with a 1.75" inlet will work. There's no special part number. Subaru exhaust is 1.75". -Brian

I forgot... the OBS has the 2.5 hood hehe... How about the bumpers and stuff? Also, can you get OEM rear spoilers? I like the impreza with dual rear spoilers. -Brian

SOrry for the crossthreading, but this needs to be seen. . .

Anyone close to LAS VEGAS area?
Yup, Qwest runs Oregon and Washington. The way SBC is buying everything, i would expect SBC to run he entire PNW soon. I too would make sure my friend knew everything bout the place, before he moved... but since you have friends and relatives there... you probably already know. I'll plan a trip down there next winter, we'll have to get together and do some gambling. -Brian

'96-'00 OBS & 2.5RS Simularity's...
Thinking about getting a '97 Impreza OBS, but want the hood and bumper from a 2.5RS. Will they interchange? Or can it be forced so they work? Also, how alike are the EJ22's and EJ25's?? Will performance mod's interchange as well? -Brian

Anyone close to LAS VEGAS area?
Northern Nevada has a ton of Subaru's. I usually drive to Reno or Carson City to visit their junkyards, cause there's on average about 20 to 30 good pickin subaru's between the 2 yards. LV on the otherhand is about 8 hours south of Here, and its in the desert. Ive visited 3 times, my grandmother lives there. I also enjoy gambling, and where else better to go than Vegas! -Brian

put in 8mm+ accell coil , .50 gap, low idle
clockwise is to advance the timing i believe. And yes, it can be done without a light, just be careful. -Brian

put in 8mm+ accell coil , .50 gap, low idle
bump your timing up alittle. The larger gap will sometimes retard the timing. -Brian

New Forum? Sticky maybe? Or slippy maybe?
The problem is, if we have a EA82T Forum, we'd need sub forums for every EA series, and then it would branch off to EJ series. And you might say "no we wont" but yes... we will. Cause justy owners will get butt-hurt that they dont have their own forum. And then the EA81 Guys would start... then the EJ guys would get wind of it, and be like "well, i dont want my SOHC EJ25 associated with the DOHC EJ25, so we need seperate forums". Then next thing you know, we have 20 forums... 4 mod's that are left to sort through 20 forums, moving topics from "Meet & greet" about their new EA81... to the EA81 forum, cause they have no idea what a EA81 is. K.I.S.S Thats what im about. If i had my way, we'd have 3 forums: 1) SUBARU'S 2) FOR SALE 3) Other Stuff There are plenty of programs and scripts available to organize a EA82T database. Also, there might be some new features in VB we dont yet know about, that will help the users organize themselfs with special projects... kinda like this. A sub-forum, im affraid, is not the answer. -Brian

New Forum? Sticky maybe? Or slippy maybe?
ITs a good idea, but if we did it for EA82T's then we might as well do it for EA81's and EA82's (which are alot more different than EA82's and EA82T's). Then it would get cluttered and would make it more confusing for newcomers who don't yet know they have a EA82T. -Brian

Artists needed for a logo design
Thanks. I like it as well... will go good as a universal logo. Text im not too worried about. I was shooting for something that we can stick on business cards, letterhead, decals... and that way the text would be added with whatever document. The full-color version just shows how color-blind i am. -Brian

Omaha Subaru club
Gave you all the info i had... lemme know if you were able to find anything. -Brian

half shaft hell, help me
The rear diff's should have the same count on them. I would say get a bigger hammer... maybe put the CV in the vise, and hammer on the diff. They're pretty tough... right? hehe -Brian

Where can i park ANOTHER subaru???
Even if it is a rust bucket or rusty, its still a good deal. im going for the CIS more for its basic operation. No sensors or complicated computers. Also, since its never been done before, we dont know how it'll work. There is a guy here who did the CIS conversion on a EA82, but i'd like to see what it'll do on the EA81. -Brian
-
Where can i park ANOTHER subaru???
Yeah, im affraid of the electronic's, but thats the beauty of CIS. its all self contained, and there are no computers to control Pulse. Its a constant flow of fuel thats just regulated by the incomming air. Weber would be nice... but a new weber would cost $300... not to mention, ive already paid for one and am awaitiing its arival via Cameron, which could take years at this pace. I'm almost positive i can get this EA81T complete for less than $300. -Brian

Where can i park ANOTHER subaru???
Well, anyone who wants it is more than welcome to come to sacramento to get it. But if i end up with it, i cant park it... or fix it. My '84 Wagon needs parts, and i need a MPFI engine for the CIS experiment. So this is a likely candidate. Its gonna kill me to strip it, but i really have no choice. If I do look at it, and its too mint... i would consider repairing it and driving it... but my '84 is screaming for EFI. -Brian
