  1. wouldnt it depend on the thread pitch of the CV? I know alot of reman CV's i get have different thread pitch if the prev owner mangled the CV. -Brian
  2. Thats the problem Mick, i dont have any room at all between 3rd and my radio. Since the radio isnt stock, it sticks out more. I could shift hard into 3rd anytime I'd like, and ensure its stays in gear, but i'd have to buy a box of bandaids for my knuckles. -Brian
  3. Oh yeah, and for those that dont know... its on the '84 Lifted Wagon, EA81 4spd Dual Range 4WD. -Brian
  4. Yeah, its not working anymore... I can shift from 2nd to 3rd relativly easy, but if im downshifting from 4th to 3rd, sometimes it wont grab and the tranny will slip out of gear, which usually ends up grinding until i can grab the shifter and slam it back into 3rd again. Is this pre-mature tranny meltdown? The car is a slug in 4th gear, been thinking of doing something about it. Not sure if I wanna do the whole 5spd deal, but I would like to get 3rd gear back. -Brian
  5. Hey GD, if you have the time could you do me a favor and put together a small how-to together explaining the basic's? This is something that I think needs to be in the USRM. I noticed lately that my car has been bucking alot more, some of those mounts are exactly what I need -Brian
  6. Yup, thats your pilot bearing. Im going to need a new tranny soon. 3rd gear is going out on mine, and i would like to have the tranny with the lower 4th gear. Any identifiable marks would be great, anything or anyway to verify the tranny im getting is of the lower ratio. -Brian
  7. The caravan will most likely be 1 day there, 1 day back. Cant imagine it taking us more than an entire day to travel into Oregon. Keep an eye in the meet and greet section for all the details, we'll plan more when the time nears. -Brian
  8. I have yet to see the page with all the images, i havent had time to compile everything to add it. -Brian
  9. Shannon, stay in contact with me if you can. I definatly want to head up a large caravan to trek up to Oregon. See if you can talk the wife into it. -Brian
  10. That things awesome, cant wait to see it next weekend -Brian
  11. I doubt this car will be sticking around for long. Knowing Erik, he'll need to make room for another Erik, just get another block. No need messing around with this thing anymore, maybe take that 1/2 of the block and hang it in the garage to show off the damage -Brian
  12. What rig did this come from? That is definatly a sign of you being screwed. -Brian
  13. Hey Richard! Good to see you again. You did the right thing by getting the Legacy. The ECVT Tranny's are junk from what ive heard. Is your Legacy 5spd? -Brian
  14. The .zip didnt have pictures in it. -Brian
  15. Correct Peter... but most of our cars aren't street cars -Brian
  16. Are these adapters manufactured by you? Or purchased from a resaler? If you can ensure propper jet sizing and can get some pictures of the adapters... i'm in. -Brian
  17. IF its 4WD, i say lower the front suspension a tad. Will give it the authentic Subaru Rake Should make it look real good with those rims. -Brian
  18. 4 HOURS FROM BOOMTOWN TO TRUCKEE!!!??? Thats crazy!! I just drove over the pass twice. Drove to Reno at around 11pm-Midnight on 2/16 and drove home around 4pm on 2/17. The pass was clear. Flood hazards cause of the rain, but other than that... no problems. Glad to hear your car made the trip. -Brian
  19. I've added this article to the "Subaru Modifications" section of the USRM. -Brian
  20. Awesome, thanks Eric. So is this already set in stone? The dates and all? Im thinking of making up some flyers and such to lay on Subaru's around town. This is the 6th annual West Coast Subaru Show, correct? -Brian
  21. Go scout for my trip in a couple weeks! -Brian
  22. I will, but i'll be there anyway's. ken, is there a zip code for the area we'll be in? Will make it easier to plan the road trip. Cudo's! -Brian

  24. 2" is the upgrade. I would recommend having a Y pipe made in 2", then run the pipe out to a 2" muffer with 2.5" outlet. Would look good, and run great. Stock exhaust is 1.75", and ANY turbo muffler should fit in its place. Then make some brakets or use some chicken wire to hold the muffler in place. -Brian
