  1. I bought my lights from a fellow USMB member. Got them both for $35 shipped. eBay is a good place to shop too, but some lights do get pretty expensive. I also got some real cheap rectangle lights from Harbor Frieght, they were on special for $3.99 a set, so i got 3 sets. Broke one set while installing them (yes, they're THAT cheap) but have the other 2 sets mounted to my roof rack. The Spotties i got from Subafly (i believe thats who i gottem from) have only worked for me once. Everytime I wire them i end up blowing through fuses or burning through wire. I have them wired up to a relay now and all the fuses should be good... but now the switch is running my fuel pump. The Cheap rectangle lights I got work without a relay, and put out alot more light than my headlights ever did. Pix: -Brian
  2. Its a safety feature to let you know the pump is still working, you should only worry when you DONT hear it heheh -Brian
  3. Any idea which subaru it was? Im sure you could remember the person you sold it to and contact them privatly. Best of luck with it. Whoever owns the car better contact Zap... would hate to be on his bad side. -Brian
  4. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! I wanna get my legacy in the snow before its too late. I wonder if there will be any streets that are iced over in the next couple days. -Brian
  5. Nope, cover charge is $5, im going to support his band, not to freeload His band name is Mr P Chill and the Trunk of Funk. -Brian
  6. Looks like you lifted it. Looks good, almost exactly like the Wagon you sold. -Brian
  7. Yeah, i'll either be comming up on Saturday night or Sunday morning. -Brian
  8. I got a friend who is in a hip-hop band who will be performing in Medford on April 4th. He'll be at the "Music Head" at 350 South Riverside Ave. Anyone know where its at? I figure since I got my new legacy, i should be able to make the trip in 4hrs or less -Brian
  9. Yeah, im aware of seafoam. How do you guys use it? Just add it to a tank of gas? -Brian
  10. That guard looks great Sean! WHat did you guys end up doing to repair it? Is it any stronger now? Those tires look meaty as well, and that rear diff hanger has no chance of breaking on you now! Gotta come back up there to do some more wheelin again. -Brian
  11. So if i read that right... you said you failed and then decided to rip the emissions stuff out to have it re-tested? Good luck -Brian
  12. This is my 1st Turbo'd car... and my 1st EJ engine as well. I was wondering if fuel addatives like FI cleaner or MMO would do more harm than good? Im used to dumping a few quarts of MMO through the carb on my EA81, but that's a whole different engine. I also love the way the engine is running right now, and want to do what I can to ensure it will stay this way. Can anyone give me any tips on upkeep on the EJ22's and the EJ22T? Thanks guys -Brian
  13. Nope, if anything it got smoother. The car floats over bumps, even rides smoother than my '92 Turbo Legacy. -Brian
  14. Well lets see.... Plugs were good, Wires were in order, Wires were good, Nothing came off, Nothing was jiggled loose, Nothing was damaged, Nothing was broken, Nothing was wrong! -Brian
  15. Got one in California that is 98% rust free. See the marketplace, its a '78 in Sacramento. -Brian
  16. I know exactly what your talking about I rembember messing with that on an old subaru i had. I think i used a nail or something to remove that pin, and im almost positive its the bottom hole that has the screw Its a pain in the butt to get to the screw unless you have a small stubby flathead. -Brian
  17. I believe the lower hole is where the mixture screw is. But its only the idle mixture screw, so i dont believe it will change anything when the car is on the throttle. And i believe you have the 2bbl Hitachi cause I dont think the C/W have that idle mixture screw. -Brian
  18. What program is this? Is there any way I can get a copy? -Brian
  19. Or just have stuck to a standard set of measurements, and not change them. I dont think I've ever run into anything like that by using my FSM. Probably the reason why all the chiltons and Haynes manual's I've had, i ended up using to level my computer desk. -Brian
  20. You'll be missed. This isnt subaru related, so it will be locked and used as an example. Thanks for understanding. -Brian
  21. Glad to hear it. The way it sounds, is that it might have been a typo in the haynes manual. Is there any other reason they'd use FT/lb and then switch to IN/lb? -Brian
  22. The Weber is the best mod you can do to a EA81... but it definatly wont appear to be stock. The EA82 manifold will bolt to the EA81 with no modifications, but the thermostat is housed on the other side ont he EA82, so there are slight mods that have to be made when running the coolant hoses. As far as power gains, i wouldnt expect to see any. And as far as going to MPFI, you'd need to find a computer to control the EA81 MPFI heads and injectors. Also you'd need the intake from the MPFI as well... all can be found from a EA81T, but they are rare. Also, the main problem with the EA81T is when they overheat, the heads crack... leaving the most important part useless. -Brian
  23. Thanks Josh. I was at that page last night, and saw that diagram. Wasnt sure which bushings were wich. So... i guess I couldnt just use a bench vise and some grease to fit the bushings huh? -Brian
  24. The rear bushings on my '92 Turbo are wore out real bad. Enough to make the car swerve if there's enough weight put on that end. So, every subaru ive ever owned has had torsion bars and shocks. Never have i seen so many trailing arms, springs and bushings. My mechanic said they need to be pressed into place, but im sure i can manage to get them out and new ones in without a press... right? Also, im not sure if each bushing has a different name, but i noticed 2 that were destroyed. Both on the drivers side, but im sure the passenger side is just as bad. I didnt have a chance to look at the front suspension, but my mechanic said most the damage is in the rear, and the front is fine. Is it okay to just replace the rear bushings, or would it be best to replace all the bushings? Im short on budget and time here, just need to get the car "Safe" for now. Is this a terribly difficult job? I have plenty of tools, and room to work, but the structure of this legacy is all new to me. Thanks all -Brian
