What it should of looked like.
Still need to move the front and rear axels closer to the bumpers. Then a lift with 30x9.50s, true transfer case, e-lockers front an rear, etc etc etc......ok, I'll shut up now.........

Totally Jacked up!
Yeah, don't use the pinch welds. They are WEAK. Corse, mine are useless ,not from jacking it up, but from landing the undercarrage on the ground while getting stuck.

92' Loyalle front end noise....bearing?? Axel nut??
Ok, I'll checky my tranny too.

92' Loyalle front end noise....bearing?? Axel nut??
Hummm funny, my Suby is doing exacly the same thing. Again. (Must stop jumping, Must stop jumping, Must stop jumping....) Yes, if your axel nut is tight, I will say wheel bearings. And yes, they will get quieter turning right. I don't know why, they just do. Mine, I can feel a vibration in the steering wheel, not alot, but it's there; and a sharp vibration on the floor.

Ahhhh there's no pic like a suby in a rally pic! Beautiful pics! Makes me wanna try and contact a guy that has a blue 87 turbowagon for like, 800 bucks. Problem is: A) it's like playin phone tag when U wanna talk to him and it's been sitting there for roughly 5 years!

High mileage poll
I got 209,000 miles out of my EA82 before it gave up. It was smoking like there was no tomarrow and slow as malases. But it got me to and from work, till I lost the gear on the cam that drives the ditsy. Ground it quite nicly.

Need new engine. What should I get?
Have Colorado Component Rebuilders build you a new EA81. I had a ea82 built to spec: higher comp pistons, decked heads, and reground cams. They build to Subaru specs and are very friendly and knowlegable. With the Weber carby and the proper exhaust it will give your Brat a much needed performance boost.

Looks nice. Look better on a trail!

Which Weber carb best for EA81
YES! Upgrade to the Weber. Your Suby will thank you a million times over. It's easy to work on and will give lots of reliable miles. The hitachi works great when it feels like it. My two sisters each have a 87 gl wagon with the hitachi. One is happy as a lark. The other has been overhauled twice and it's still not right.

What does an EA82 weigh?
My brother and I lifted my EA82 out. It was heavy, but not bad. Once it was out of the engine bay, I could lift it by myself; not for long, but I could move it around the garage when needed. CCR told me it's about 150 lbs.

Weberized EA81: IT RUNS! ..for the most part.
Sounds like the idle mixture is right on. Idle speed screw directly pushes on the throttle linkage. Idle mixture goes into the front passenger corner on the carb body. Below (I think) the ditsy vac. advance port on the carb.

Weberized EA81: IT RUNS! ..for the most part.
does it make any differance if U move the mixture screw? hummm gonna hafto do a few dounuts and think on this one...........

Weberized EA81: IT RUNS! ..for the most part.
Isn't there seperate circuits between the idle, primary and secondary? With the idle mixture screw all the way in, your running max lean which would explain the reason of the hand over carb mouth smoothing out the idle. Have you tried this site: http://homepage.powerup.com.au/~camncath/retrofitting_the_weber_dgav_32.htm

Weberized EA81: IT RUNS! ..for the most part.
Just to rule out the timing issue, check it. Backfiring through the carby is a sign of too much advance (I think). I was having trouble with it mine backfireing though the carby while starting, but that was cause I was running 22 deg of advance. Backed it down to 18 and it dissappeared. If it was an EA82, I'd say a t-belt jumped a few teeth, but ea81....dunno. Do you got a vacume guage?

lincoln for the road? high power hatch!
Tis true. I got mine from one of the board members in Colorado. :-\ Just concerned about the torque of that six with the welds in the diff. Could make for some intristing cornering.
