  1. Just to rule out the timing issue, check it. Backfiring through the carby is a sign of too much advance (I think). I was having trouble with it mine backfireing though the carby while starting, but that was cause I was running 22 deg of advance. Backed it down to 18 and it dissappeared. If it was an EA82, I'd say a t-belt jumped a few teeth, but ea81....dunno. Do you got a vacume guage?
  2. :eek:Sombody QUICK! Lend him a Suby! Don't send him out in the snow with FWD alone!
  3. WHOA! I just hit 300 posts! WOOO HOOO!!! sorry, just HAD to mention it.
  4. I donno........only good pics of it COVERED is before I hit the wet paved roads. Gotta remember the digicam. Gotta remember the digicam. Gotta remember the digicam............
  5. Tis true. I got mine from one of the board members in Colorado. :-\ Just concerned about the torque of that six with the welds in the diff. Could make for some intristing cornering.
  6. Yup. If I keep her clean, she's looks really nice. Just doesn't happen real often. :-\
  7. Nope, just boring AM/FM. The original antena died so I swapped it for that nice long one from radio shack. There's supposed to be a CB antenna too, but I broke it on one of my zip under a tree manuvers. AND my scanner antenna decided to let go the magnet. I'm not doing very well with antennas.:-\ Isn't that the way your supposed to do it? Cover it from wheels to roof? A DOG: Those rims came off another 86 wagon, but I don't know what trim package; my guess would be thhe GL-10, but don't quote me on it.
  8. Why not a LSD? Give ya better traction without the breakage of the welded diff. just my .02 cents
  9. Weeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!! Ah......the beauty of low center of gravity!
  10. One mudmobile! Went to my favorite off roading spot after work and had a little fun. Corse, I didn't have the camra with me:banghead: So, I took some aftermath pics instead. Enjoy! I tell you what, that LSD in the back makes the backend just a smiget looser than it did before. This run also proved that practicly bald tires don't climb muddy hills very well. However, makes for 4x doughnuts lotsa fun!
  11. Yeah, I took my Mom back there once too. She freaked out big time. Didn't hit me, but I got quite the lecture.
  12. Lookin' good! I do that every time I enter my favorite wash. Scares the livin daylights out of my passegers every time!
  13. Looks nice! Gives it an aggressive stance. Hummmm.........uh oh the wheels in my head are begining to turn. EJ25 powered Legacy, EA82 D/R 5speed, t-case and solid axels. Look out jeeps, here we come! muwaaaaa:grin: Now, if I only had the cash and the knowhow.....................hummmmmm

  15. That looks good! I like it. Yes, fills the fenders quite well.
  16. he he he:brow: I saved the pics! he he he:-p
  17. That's wild! Tryin to be a Bug, eh? Looks like U need a little more watertightness, a porpeller. and a bigger snorkel!
  18. Ah HA! THAT's why my sister's wagon has no clearance between the clutch fan and the radiator. When I replaced the t-belts, I poked a hole in the radiator trying to get the clutchfan off. Now, she has an electric fan there and a patched radiator.
