  1. I remember as a kid my uncle would have what he called "shear pins" it was a pin that under high stress would brake or shear to prevent either the outboard motor or a winch from breaking, the pin on the outboard would fit next to the prop and the one on the winch was on the shaft that entered the winch gear housing, theese "pins" where no more then a soft bolt that would give befor the machine would break , now if we were to incorperate something like this into the soobie drive maybe it would save a few axles and prevent being stranded out in the abyss lets discuss our options

  8. back in high shcool I had s bunch of friends over and we just got done installing a moter in my 73 corrola , while Im under the car hooking things up all the sudden the engine starts turning over like someones trying to start it, I scramble out from under quickley, no ones at the key, we disconnect the battery, it ended up the radiator had been mounted back in and the wiring harness got pinched and caused the short,
  9. years ago I was into the AN600 honda cars they have a 2 cylinder airvcooled engine , think its the first import for Honda, I had heard about this 71 off Alabama street and stoped to look at it , the guy fired it up , I gave him the money , got in it to take my prize home the think wouldnt start, well just a few minutes befor I heard it start so we grapped a rope and started pulling it home, got half way home decided "hey lets pull start this Baby" so I let out the clutch and after awhile of no luck stopped and figured we would look at the plugs to see if were getting any gas, took out the first plug and what did I see ....... a bent up plug with alum. metal shavings all over it, well later we get it home tear the engine apart and it had junped time from a wore out timing chain and I totally destroyued the engine by turning it over and over and over, all 4 valves had broke off , the head, the valve seats were toast, broke wholes in the pistons, and bent one rod, i ended up pullin the engine and installin a nother
