  1. so how far did you get-http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=13095&size=big&cat=500&ppuser=679 tires look awesome
  2. that sounds like how i was the other day... now granted i don't have tires with broken belts but i got one front tire with a couple chunks missing from the sidewall and one back tire that's been plugged since dec.and all four have gotta be out of balance.
  3. i inquired about that once and was quoted approx $300.not to mention that it'd take a couple months.$1,000. total w/trans
  4. 1st off...welcome aboard you may or may not need to mod the bezel,it all depends on the aftermarket radio you get.here's the one i had (can't remember where i got that storage compartment) as far as gaps.if you get a decent install kit, there shouldn't be any. on the removal of the stock radio-1st remove cup holder, then remove the trim bezel around the radio(2 up top and i think after taking out the ash tray you'll see one in the back) there's a total of 6 screws that hold the radio in(4 that you'll see right off cause there right up front and 2 towards the back,1 on either side of radio) this might help.with the radio removal an center console removal(partly)
  5. did need a relay..(wasn't really sure if needed but went with it anyway) and now i'm thinking of throwing in another set of air horns or upgrading...
  6. that vid was awesome well done..
  7. the grey molding along the bottom of my leg is what he's talking about (the molding between the wheels along bottom edge)
  8. that reminds me that i have a siren for a alarm system that works an is dang loud.. maybe i need a back-up alarm ... http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=12970&cat=500
  9. ok.decided to go with the air horn and granted it's not the neatest of installs but.. http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c34/beretta92d/newhorn.jpg *sorry about dragging this thread out*
  10. you can try going on to a dirt road and push the button an gas it. you'll know your in 2wd when jst the front tires spin in the dirt.hit button again and repeat. if i remember correctly, there is a light on the instrument panel that tells you when your in 4wd mode..(bulb could be burnt out) BTW-welcome aboard
  11. last yr i de-GTed my legacy and i had that molding for about 3-4 month and had to get rid of it due to lack of storage. figures that someone would need that molding...
  12. bruceyWV-i see you evened it out..looks good. fnlyfnd-i think it looks awesome.that's one of the many mods i want to get around to..
  13. does engine rpms change the sound/speed of clicking? i was getting a similiar sound in my 92 leg at least untill a plug blew out(yup, plug was problem) found out you should always check your plugs to make sure they're tight..
  14. well after picking up a set of fiamm air horns..i decided that for simplicity,i'm gonna exchange them for a set of fiamm am-80.(high an low freq) the am-80s are basic plug an play *great, now i can't decide* (maybe i'm being lasy an not wanna do any wiring...) after putting in the new horns,i'll have to try and record it on vid w/sound(of course)
  15. i believe it's just the electric switch..gonna have to recheck
  16. how'd you run it to the filter box? any pics?
  17. anyone ever have their ignition switch become loose inside the column.? this has happened to my 94 legacy and after taking the two plastic pieces off the column,it looked to me that a special tool was required to tighten it..does anyone know if this is true or am i looking at it all wrong?(maybe i need to look again) btw-it does wiggle to bad but it's noticable. any ideas or suggestions?
  18. i'm gonna have to let my mechanic know about this way of replacing..he just said " we'll just put another engine in" after he said that my mind automaticly thought of a 2.5-Hmm? but i think i'll stick w/2.2
  19. i was gonna mention that..check your plugs for oil sludge build up.i found out that i have a bad valve stem seal also and found out by one plug being completely covered with oil sludge.(i have a pic but gotta find it)
  20. that sounds like a good idea.
  21. http://www.autoanything.com/performance-chips/61A2310A0A0.aspx i found this for 90-96 legacys and something like $308 bucks.. they say it'll give close to 25% increase in hp and a increase in torque. now i just need $300 bucks
  22. hey,i was gonna say that... i'd go with what dave said, check wiring first.i had a bad wire on the front pass side corner light.i thought it was bulb related so i tried a new one an still no work.(though it'd come on if i hit a bump or that corner of hood) found the cut wire and a few mins later it worked perfect. so yah,i'd make sure no wires are damaged 1st
  23. http://sites.rapidus.net/labrecqj/justywrx/english.html here's the site that jerry was talking about..(justy with wrx engine) if you do go through with it.your gonna have to make sure that pics an vid is posted..
  24. more then likely sometime next week.91loyale wants to come join up as soon as his soob is safe.. that was just the beginning of the trail.was mainly scouting it out as to if it was really a class 6 road or private.while scouting,i came across a house that's on the road leading to the trail and i stopped to ask a women in the yard as to weather or not it was a private road.(this is what she said)-"nope.it's just a class 6 road, but you might wanna be careful with your car"..i almost said-"no worries,it's a soob"
  25. still waiting for pics..... dang,wish i could find such a deal.wait i did,my 94 justy with 54,000 for only $175. bucks...
