  1. i have a set of these-http://www.crutchfield.com/S-g00mIHoJ7zl/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=52000&I=113KFC1680&search=Kenwood+VENDORID113&SearchDisplay=Kenwood in my legacy.they do pretty well for themselves considering i have a tendency to push speakers... i'm also running them off a 200w kenwood HD cd player..(KDC-MP528)
  2. how's the oil level? (seeing that you say it sounds like it's coming from the lifters?) you can try running higher octane through it and see if it makes a difference.maybe it's ping
  3. i myself would put in a larger stabilizer bar and throw in a strut brace too.. i never had a bar break but i've had the bushings fall out.. (which i found out will stop an inspection)
  4. http://www.tyres1.com/calculators.html by typing in the metric size of the tire yo want, you can find out what it is equal to here.. and by what i got, you'd need a 225/75/14 to equal 27.3x8.9x14 with a sidewall height of 6.7.
  5. :headbang:awesome brumby. love the engine..(i'd love to supercharge my ej)
  6. to me,it kinda sounds like something tapping on plastic... without having the engine infront of me while it's running,it makes it hard for me to really figure it out.
  7. didn't or doesn't subaru dealers offer the "try it for 24hrs" thing? you can drive it for 24hrs before making a decision? or am i wrong? granted i don't have any kids but i think an outback would have prenty of room...
  8. figured i'd waken up an old thread instad of making a new one to ask my question... anyone have a pic of a oil catch can/condensor hooked up to a ej-22 N/A engine? i'm thinking of making one and wondered where the outlet hose from can goes to.and to think of it,where the inlet of the can is hooked up to. i'm guessing that this won't help the slight smoke problem on cold start-ups?
  9. well 1-the ones i have now have curb rash on them from previous owner...and 2-i like steel wheels..(don't have to worry about rubbing rocks an such)
  10. you mean something like this- they have them at www.boxer4racing.com http://64.71.53.59/motor.htm#Motor Intake also here(same place, more direct link)
  11. LosDios-that was cool... mine wasn't in there but i did see andys..
  12. you took the words out of my mouth, except for the impreza part cause i didn't know that... this reminds me that i need to get with someone about some 14" steelies....and loose the alloys

    Video!

great vid loved the hill climb at the end...when all else fails, just jump up the hill BTW-beautiful scenary
  14. how'd you do the hook up at the air box? and what did you use to do the cutting of the hole? BTW-looks good
  15. like you said about the next scene being different..i've done the fade to black type of transitions..
  16. good choice in music... great job with the vid...maybe do some transitions between scenes on the next one-(constructive criticism) edit*--i went an watched it again,i see you did transitions
  17. i too have been running 20w-50 in my ej-22 for a better part of 6yrs now and haven't had any problems..10w-40 in the winter. i did a switch from walmart oil to castrol to see if it controls the leaking.at times i was replacing about two guarts every other week..
  18. your not the only one... here in NH,i've only seen one that is still on the road BTW-great pics..
  19. i'm using a cheap 17" LCD moniter and the paint looks like OD green to me. the flares look good.i'd stay with the black and not go with the bright green like GD said..
  20. Hmmm..it looked like a long walk.. looks similar to a hill my stock gl wagon made it up..though i think my hill was tad bit steeper but way shorter then your. also looked like you ran over a long log..:-\
  21. i liked it:clap: ..and that's some drop off you went by(where the tree fell)
  22. i remember doing some exhaust work on the 86 gl wagon i had and i had no ramps (just jack stands) i just lifted up one side of the car so that the pass side was up.. all this on a dirt driveway and during the summer... voodoochylde-congrats on doing the job yourself.
  23. when i had my muffler put on awhile back,i paid $65-$70. for welding and bending up a new pipe.so..$50 bucks ain't bad.
