  1. Hmmm, wrong wagon for the parts i need..(need stuff from a legacy outback)
  2. i find it too cool to see a forester getting pitched sideways in a corner.. back tire(s) smoking too..
  3. like outback 97 said,if the chirp is coming from the oem horns then get louder horns.. now if it comes from a siren type horn like this, then like before..shop for a louder horn.pictured one is from a home security alarm system and is about 120-130 dbls(?) (as far as i know, there's no volume knob)
  4. it was about a 10-15 degree grade and made it up about 2.5 feet..(i guessed cuz i didn't have a tape measure) i know it's nothing special, but just wanted to show my first attempt at flexing my stock leg. (probably should have pushed more cuz my tires didn't even slip):-\
  5. i haven't found out personally, but i believe that if you use the outback springs..then you need of course to use the strut tops(part that attaches to body).now doing this will rquire you to drill new holes(for back struts i think) you can get out of that by just useing the legacy springs and tops.granted you lose a small bit of height an stiffness that you'd get from OB struts but then you don't have to take the chance of messing up the drilling new holes. don't take this as me trying to talk you out of doing the strut swap, just thought i'd let you know. also,no you don't really have to replace the wheels..it'll give you extra money for buying taller tires.
  6. this is where i hooked up the hose, then into the can of cleaner.gave the engine some throttle which sucked in the cleaner. (inside the red circle)
  7. i think that's the only thing keeping me from getting a spoiler(that and i'm poor) my legacy gt has the roof rack(more like rails) but no spoiler..
  8. here's a wagon hatch spoiler.looks like it might be a good price..don't know.$119.00 or $125.00/pre-painted http://www.nextag.com/norob/PtitleSeller.jsp?chnl=main&tag=508492543&ctx=gkFlOBsVsEE%3D&ptitle=506098935 BTW-welcome aboard..
  9. http://www.ozified.com/pricing1.htm if you can pick up a part time job and put some aside each payday..you'll be liting properly in no time.
  10. ever since getting my first 5spd,i never looked back(cept a small mix up a yr back) though at times,i feel lazy and want a auto.. i'll keep my 5spd
  11. i'd have to agree with Qman.. normally coil over kits allow you to go from stock height and drop it acouple inches..not usually raising it. i'd just wait and get a proper lift for your loyale..(i'm still waiting to do my lift)
  12. i noticed a difference shortly after she was done spewing smoking.. alot better acceleration and i'm hoping for better gas mileage. what experience did all those that did a upper engine cleaning have? (i know weird question) BTW-though i didn't use seafoam,i did use GMs upper engine cleaner. *edit*-not sure why i put this here,i suppose i could of put it in off topic..(but i am talking about my 94 leg)
  13. are they very deep? or do they have a low profile to them? if you go my route and use the holes that are there, you may have to still do some slight moding to the grill. i should of saved up for a set of hellas instead of spending $20 on a set of walmart specials..
  14. i used the holes that were there for mounting the bumper cover.simply drilled a bit bigger hole to fit the bolts through.. <---(click) see the holes.. of course i had to mod the grill to fit around the lights <---(click) BTW-the lights i used,sucks....
  15. when doing a compression check, you don't want the engine to start..you just hook up and bump the engine. i had a head gasket completely go and the engine just gushed out oil an coolant.

you think your a slacker...i' on my 8th soob.most have passed away due to accidents.sold 1 and stupidly traded one in for a dodge. zap-great collection you have.
  17. i'll have to check under the cowl..take a look at all the leakage. maybe a rebuild is called for.
  18. i'm having the same problem with my 94 legacy.i tried adjusting the arms on the posts and had no success. if someone knows another way,i too would appreciate any info.
  19. Hmm,you too huh if i remeber correctly(which i don't very often),i never used it with my first subaru which was a 86 gl wagon..

looked like fun.. awesome that you handled it yourself..i know myself wouldn't be able to :-p can't wait to see it sitting on all four..
  21. as far as the "not fitting" part,i believe they mean depth cause.i found out that the window hits the magnet of the speaker in the front pass door..(need to cut out a spacer for it)
  22. i have a set of these-http://www.crutchfield.com/S-g00mIHoJ7zl/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=52000&I=113KFC1680&search=Kenwood+VENDORID113&SearchDisplay=Kenwood in my legacy.they do pretty well for themselves considering i have a tendency to push speakers... i'm also running them off a 200w kenwood HD cd player..(KDC-MP528)
  23. you'll have to post some pics of the new addition to the family...
  24. how's the oil level? (seeing that you say it sounds like it's coming from the lifters?) you can try running higher octane through it and see if it makes a difference.maybe it's ping
