well i know on my 85 the switch just locks or unlocks the gate, the only way i have to open it is to is to pull up on the handle

i personally wouldnt get bfg at's they are way to soft so they get chewed up very quickly with street driving especially if you like to drive fast and take corners fast, just my .02

i think you guys are a little off on the hp #'s the tbi 4.3 is closer to 120 hp. as for an adapter check out advancedadapters, i know they sell tranny adapters for putting a 4.3 in a toyota as well as for several other cars, not sure about soobs but its worth a try. i can tell you though its not gonna be cheap to do the swap though the bellhousing adapter alone is gonna cost you about $300 +, and if you are gonna be willing to spend the money needed to do that swap you might as well just drop a sb 350 in it since you are just talking a few more inches longer and it is the bellhousing bolt pattern as a a 4.3 anyways.

yeah northguy it is just cracked on an end, it i ssomething that i would think could be very easily fixed. and btw they are i good shape other that that crack and they will clean up real nice. erik if you had asked me earlier i wouldnt have cared to give you the bumper off it. it prob could have been repaired without to much effort, i just hadnt cared for the 87 bumper, i personally like the 85 bumper better. and to you guys that im gonna mail stuff to im gonna go to the post office today and see what kinda money we are gonna need to get this stuff out

your welcome northguy, and i dont care to send them all to you if you want them, i was just gonna take the pieces you didnt want and throw them in the burn pile anyways. on that piece that you said you really wanted 1 of them has about a 2 inch crack on one side. i can get a good picture of the crack spot if you like.

it was actually fairly dented up from the accident damage on the pass side, and besides sorry but it is now gone prob already dropped off at the scrap yard

thanks for the info seahag, ill prob just pull the part off even if i dont hear from him by tomorrow but if he really doesnt wanna pay the money ill just end up tossing it out prob since i dont even want the emblems on my 85.

oh btw if anyone cares past projects have been a walkthrough conversion on an 80 toyota 4x4 pickup and a convertable astrovan, the truck was finished but i never got around to finishing the astro project(money probs)!

lol dennis its all good in case you guys have been wondering why i am even thinking of stuff like this is this is the first time in a long time i have had a car in mint condition that i didnt have to fix a monster amount of stuff to get it perfect. it is the perfect custom candidate. and for me i always like to customize something different, im tired of seeing the same old cars all the time. our ea82's may not be the most styling cars, especially the wagon but i think it can at least be trick. looks like when i have the time to do this project i may need to do a step by step pic progress of it.

aint that the truth noah!!!! i live in the middle of BFE so nobody would say much out here so im good lol, besides all i would say is at least the kid was happy lol. lucas, i dotn really think it would be much at all to ship that 1 emblem. i fugure maybe 2 or 3 dollars at most. of course i dont know if there are differences in prices while shipping overseas since i have never done it b4. it could almost fit in a regular envelope so i dont think it would be that bad. if you really do want it ill pull it and put it aside but let me know tonight or early tomorrow mornong like around 7 am EST and i can get it. northguy ill pull the stuff in the morning, just to make sure i got the right thing is it the molding piece in between the front and rear door or the one behind the rear door? if there is anything else someone wants that i can pull off in a fairly short time let me know tonight if you can and ill try to get the stuff off before its gone tomorrow. i will only have a short time tomorrow morning to pull stuff and obviously peopl ethat have already requested will have to come first.

lol girvin subaru styles i can appreciate what you have done to your wagon. its just not the route i usually go with stuff. i guess ive never been into any body kits lol. i was gonna shave off my emblems and prob my rear doorlock for the start, but ive always been inot a little more wild body mods on my vehicles but i like stuff that looks realatively stock if the car is just sitting there. basically the sleeper look for the most part

anybody done any trick bodywork to their ea82, mainly looking at wagon mods but any mody done to any of that body style, im looking for stuff other than bolt-on stuff like ground effects. i have actually been toying with the idea of doing a split hood for my wagon. what i mean by that is split in the middle and flip to each side. i have an extra hood in good rust free shape that im thinking about trying this out on. i have even thought of a setup for the latching mechanism since i have all the latching stuff from my parts car. so whats the custom body mods people have done so far if any???

well got everything i wanted off my parts car, gotta a guy coming tomorrow morning to haul it off for scrap metal. for some of you guys it might have been a repairable thing as you can see from the damage that is in the pics its prob in better shape than some but since to me all it was is a parts car adn nobody wanted to buy it i just gutted it for everything i want and now its gonna be gone. i should probably take off the doors fender and hatch since they are rust free but i figured screw it since my 85 is completely rust free so it is way to much effort for parts i will probably never need.

had the mouse prob with mine 2 had a nest in the evap core and the fan motor, still dead somewheres in the center section of the heater so i can't even get to the thing i hate smelling cooking dead mouse lol

no im pretty sure its the low rise since it is useless as an armrest

ok i know i should prob post this in the marketplace, so if the mod feels it needs to be go ahead and move it. reason im not putting it there is because if ppl come to get the stuff it would be free (depending of course on what it is lol) ok im about done stripping the stuff that i want out of the interior, so if nobody wants any of the other stuff its just gonna get melted down when the car goes to scrap. basically i got the auto shifter stuff, the console and pretty much the whole main dash piece that i have no use for as well as the seats it is all grey stuff in in pretty good shape. and obviously other trim stuff from inside as well. if you are close and want to come get the stuff then its free. you just gotta be here by next weekend if you want it. if i gotta pull the stuff then i will just ask for a small amount for doing it, and for the smaller stuff if you want it shipped just offer me a reasonable price plus shipping for it. i dont have alot of time to be pulling stuff since i stil have to strip all the suspension stuff off it before it goes but i will do my best

great snorkels guys, about the only thing im not real crazy about is the front exit on the fender, too much metal sticking out for my liking. im looking for something that would exit the body towards the back of the hood type of area

i know around here people usually will just leave the flywheel or pressureplate on it depending on what type of tranny of course
