  1. Several people have done the swap. All had to cut to do it. Most had to relocate the radiator as well. Adam, archemedi, Subaru Brat, to name a few.
  2. No problem, enjoy yourself!
  3. What shop do you work at?
  4. I moved this to your own thread. Try not to hijack someone elses thread. Now, on topic... Sounds like bearings from the idler pulley. Bottom left of the crank when looking at the engine.
  5. That was the Oregon Trail Rally. There will be another, called The Mt Hood rally on Oct 23, 2010 http://www.mthoodrally.com/2010/
  6. Pugs are too heavy and not wide enough. The only answer is 5 lug or custom built wheels.
  7. As far as I remember, the only 4WDs were the BRAT and the wagon prior to 1980. I can't find any documentation otherwise.
  8. Looks like it could be for cruise control.
  9. I moved it over. I will condense it with the additions from others and remove the extra posts. Subeman will post it to the manual.
  10. Not that I have been doing this for 30+ yrs or anything like that but, seriously, "otherwise instructed by the engineer's."? I covered how the bearings on a Subaru should be packed above.
  11. Pack the bearings tight and leave the space between the bearings open. Room for expansion and no worries about anything else. The write up was very well done, as is!

  13. Mine has disc brakes and 4.56 gears with a drop out center section. It now resides under my Toyota.
  14. I understand, but it does take away from the cut out though. The idea is to lean out to get a better look at the tires and the line. Don't let us talk you out of what is important to you!
