  1. :-\ Brand new (not reman) is about $90 here...
  2. Oh no!! someone borked your caps lock!! See also: Notice how the whole "turbo" thing was covered about 16-17 hours previously.
  3. Yes, welcome!. And wear your damn seatbelt! If you are alone in the car, I don't really care if someone wears a seatbelt or not. But.. If you have other people in the car(children or otherwise), those that aren't belted in become a high velocity projectile in the event of an accident.. Anyone in my car with me must always buckle up. Not for their safety, but for mine.
  4. One leg of my trip to Texas involved a portland to Denver run.. There were a few times (headed into wyoming comes to mind) that maintaining 55 without a trailer was a real chore. Theres no way in helll I would do that with a trailer. PS.. I have pretty much the same car you do.
  5. Check for cracks in the flywheel. and have it resurfaced. You should be good to go.
  6. I believe that you might possibly be able to use MPFI parts, but definitely no on the SPFI parts. What year is your car. I have some spare stuff.
  7. I usually get up there once every year or two.. Maybe next time I can time it around one of the meets
  8. Best thing would be to take it to an exhaust shop and have one made for you. I can't think of a single car I have ever actually bought an 'off the shelf' exhaust system for. For everything from the Y pipe back shouldn't run more than $250-$275 If you only need part of it, it should be a darn sight less. If the piece you need is a fairly straight piece, go to pep boys and buy some pipe and some clamps and do it yourself for $15-$20
  9. Actually, 1) a good portion of the Loyales were pretty much power nothing. (with the exception of mirrors) 2) 90 and possibly 91 Loyales came offered as turbo models.
  10. 2 people. Unbolt the steering column. Much easier than dropping th x member again. should take only a few minutes with 2 sets of hands/eyes.
  11. Theres a 3 door in the old photo albums somewhere that someone chopped into an EA82 brat type thing. It was kinda neat.
  12. Yeah.. that one was trouble free. The first EA82 one I did had its share of problems, and neither of us had done an EA82 before.. that took about 12 hours. which was ok, except we were expecting it to take 7-8 hours.. or, more to the point, my wife was expecting it to take 7-8 hours
  13. No. first off, in/hg does not equal psi Second, on an N/A ca, when accelerating, manifold vacuum reaches ~0 in/hg. Thus to reach 7psi, your turbo must put out ~7psi (not accounting for boost leaks or boost drop due to IC or anything like that)
  14. Rust free vehichle, 2 people, 5 hours.
  15. Repeat after me In/Hg In/Hg In/Hg in-Hg Inches of mercury. One inch Hg is the pressure exerted by a column of mercury one inch high.
  16. should be interesting trying to fit 15s on them 390s actually come out to about 15 and 1/4
  17. Holy ****!! 20 psi of vacuum?!!>> to the original poster. on the EA82 cars, there is a little white canister on the passenger side behind the strut tower. Thats what th eheater controls and the 4wd(or difflock) controls run off of. Not only does it keep a small reserve built up in the canister, it has a check valve built into the feed line to stop it from going in to positive pressure.
  18. I have 3 complete motors down here. What exactly do you need? For example, I have a front mudflap with absolutely no rust for sale As well as a super rare bolt that holds the EGR solenoid on an EA82T Is that what you had in mind? Specifics are required in order to help you.
  19. It probably has something to do with air suspension.. that your car may or may not have. Mine comes on and flashes after a few miles, even though I no longer have air suspension.. Exactly what car are we talking about anyway?
