  1. The advance curve on the NA dist, if different, is probably a little lower in the rpm range than the turbo dist
  2. I'm not super picky.. a decent box, serial port for wideband plug in and something even sort of close to plug and play would be nice
  3. Time and money depend entirely on where you source the parts and how good you are with a wrench. If you know what you are doing and have all the parts, it could easily be done in a weekend. Make sure you get the matching rear diff for the trans
  4. Yeah.. I'm feeling a vacuum/boost leak here.. The black smoke, the hesitation just before the turbo light comes on. The fact that your intake plenum popped off (not judging.. I've done that too)
  5. Thats pretty stout for a stock rsb Mine came with 17 front and 15 rear its 20/20 now.
  6. The coilovers I used were ebay aftermarkets made for a WRX Every EA82 I have seen came with at least a front swaybar. I used XT6 front and rears for my wagon, but I had an advantage. Mine is the only wagon I have ever seen that actually had a factory rear bar on it.. granted, it was wimpy, but the mounts are the same as the 20mm bar
  7. Sounds like the EGR and Purge solenoids.. Not all cars have them . My first turbo car (a 3AT) didn't have them. My most recent turbo car (also a 3AT originally) did.. If thats what they are, they can be bypassed.. may affect emissions though.
  8. Not as cool as a good wagon:banana: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/data/500/medium/82Picture_116.jpg
  9. Here's his http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/data/527/4012003_0720_002_.JPG Here's mine http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/data/500/medium/82Picture_116.jpg His is a little lower. I can't adjust my coilovers down anymore until I get my new exhaust made and get the WRX exhaust off of there. Oh.. and mine would probably look a little lower if I would ever get around to installing the side skirts and rear lip.
  10. Yes, from the location and description, I would say that sounds like the EGR solenoid.
  11. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=53378&highlight=seats Pay particular attention to the third post in this thread.. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=45312&highlight=seats http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=38184&highlight=seats http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=18354&highlight=seats
  12. Hell.. a number of the EJ guys I know are running oil cooled only. Have even seen the stock TD04 run oil only. I imagin this reduces longevity, but I would also imagine it keeps overall coolant temps down.
  13. there are no 'gen 1,2 and 3 distys' For the EA82T, there is 85-86 and 87+ In the 87+ line, you may find some that have a different plug than others. The pigtail is easily removed and swapped. Disty is the same I have even used an SPFI disty in my wagon
  14. Theres an NA version in an RX here in the states as well
  15. And just where is that? I hit boost induced fuel cut before I get to valve float.. but I am a bit curious where the valve float point is.
  16. Exactly. If I need something turbo related, I order for an RX If I need something wagon related, I order for a 93 Loyale. Its the only way I can get the right parts for the turbowagon.
  17. Search, read, post. Theres a ton of info on this subject. if, after your search, something doesn't make sense to you, feel free to PM me or post your question.
  18. Never known anyone to reroute any of that on a stock turbo car. Have seen a ton and a half threads about replacing the crappy stock rubber lines though.
  19. Not to be a search Nazi, but this was still up on the first page.. 5 threads down http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=52959
  20. I had that happen a couple years ago.. Turned out someothinf in the Dizzy was overheating.. 10 minute dizzy swap and I was down the road again.
