Just an added note.. stock injectoers are in the 180-185cc range. No, I can't quote a source.. I can't find the link the info came from. You'll just have to believe me.. although theres the possibility I could be wrong, In which case its best to ignore me.. you be the judge:-p

I would guess that if they lost the files you get to do it again right? -
Question re:same brand tires for 4WD vehicles???
calebz replied to bgambino's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I answered your question.. again.. *No center diff in a pushbutton 4wd car *If you drive it in 4wd only on ice and snow (low traction situations) Having an exact match, whether it be brand, size or whatever, all the way around is substantially less important -

There will be quite a lot of that, I'm sure. But this is also the place to ask about things like changing the charging system from the old external regulator style to the newer internally regulated type. Thats just one example of non EA82T stuff appropriate here. OTOH, it sure will be nice to see all the TD04 stuff in one place

As the years go by and our old soobs get older, many of you may have noticed a marked decrease in available parts. Or perhaps you want your Subaru to perform better, but have noticed the appalling lack of available aftermarket. Whether your goal is a faster soob, more technologically updated soob, or you just have newer stuff laying around and want to try it out, this is the place for you. From intercoolers to suspension, Transmissions to Brakes, there are a number of ways to incorporate newer Subaru technology into an older car. Thats what this place is all about. Some of the things have been tried (both successfully and otherwise) by members in the past, others are sure to be awaiting discovery. So come look, ask questions, make suggestions and have fun!

Aftermarket Crank Pulley on EA82T
calebz replied to Myxalplyx's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Should work, I have one off a car with AC and the depth and all that seems to be the same. Only difference is that it has a locator pin in the back of it that keeps it centered.. I would use the timing gear that matches it to get the most advantage from that pin. I personally intend to use mine for a while to make sure that my motor isn't going to blow up into a million pieces, then I will hit Garner up for one. -
Aftermarket Crank Pulley on EA82T
calebz replied to Myxalplyx's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Just for comparison, the turbo crank pulley weighs just under 4 lbs. The Carb crank pulley however, weighs right at 2 lbs. -
No pictures?!? You should have chased him down:lol:

Look here http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=23808 there are some pics of what I did to mount the TD04 on the EA82 crossover pipe. -
glad to hear its working out. My TD04 is on, but the motor is just sitting on a stand looking pretty(took some time off from the soob to build the supervolvo). I still need to deal with the throttle cable, so I would be interested to see how you did it. If you want, you can send your pics to me again and I will resize them for you. Oh yeah.. shouldn't this be in that other forum?

You have to make sure the arm doesn't come flopping out when loading the body.. Thats a potential embarrassment, especially in a public place. Thats why I prefer to wrap them in sheets before loading them up -
Probably the drain cock for the radiator

Nope, don't think so Do you need an ECU? what year?

1) If they are both GL-10s, they should both be digidashed. That is part of the GL-10 package 2) The wiring is different between digi and analog, but with the FSM, some cutters and lots of time, you can do it. 3) Trip computer - see answers 1 and 2
