  1. I'll probably only have the dial up a few days, so I'm not going to run a line for the outside box, but thanks for the idea. I guess if I want to post anything in OT from now on I eitehr need to pay someone to approve it, or e-mail every moderator every half hour until it does get approved. Gee Ken, you mean that you have another life besides the board?????
  2. First it must be a 4WD version of a XT6. Up front, you need everything from the tranny out, that means, axles, lower arm, ball joints, knuckle, strut, complete front brake system. In the rear, you need to take everything from and including the backing plate out, the is backing plate, rotor, complete rear brake system. If you currently do not have a turbo car(25 spline stub axle), you will need to replace the joint on the axle at the tranny with one for a non-turbo car (23 spline stub axle). Hope that explains it, there is a page on my web site that shows the conversion.
  3. Or you could ask the grand master of the 5 bolt conversion, me. I probably know every combination that works, and what doesn't.
  4. No static on the phone lines, I am only 8000 feet from where the DSL controller for my line is, the is well within the 15000 feet requirement. It was an old modem, they gave me a temporary modem, and it works just fine. I'm getting switched to a newer style modem that is suppose to be faster then the one that I have. The new one is a fiber optic modem.
  5. Is that because you approved it? It is BS that it take 25 1/2 hours to get a post in OT. Maybe I should become a moderator so that I can approve my own. I put it here because I knew I could get it posted quickly incase someone was wondering why I didn't contact them.
  6. Well over 24 hours later and it still isn't there in OT.
  7. Check your fuses, I had this happen in a 95 wagon, when replaced the blown fuse it worked fine. Note, you need to be stepping on the brake at the same time you try to take it out of park.
  8. My DSL Modem is getting old and not connecting to the internet all the time. Recently it is getting worst, last night I was only successful connecting once out of ten trys. Anyway, looks like I'll be on dial up for awhile until they can set up my phone line for the new modem (they say up to 10 days). I put this here because 5 hours ago I submitted a similar post in Off Topic, but it hasn't shown up there yet. That is BS that it takes that long to go through the checkers.
  9. You people in Minnesota should be the one's giving him the party, you're getting a great guy, even if it is only temporary.
  10. Back doors are done now. Boy is it dark in there with all the doors shut.
  11. Still a ways off, need to get the back doors done, finish the wiring and paint the floor, then move only the things that I want in the new garage into it. At the rate I've been going lately, it will probably be after WCSS7.
  12. Come on baby light my fire!!!!! I've got the doors, well at least the front ones, but they need to be painted. Oh yea, I poured the ramps last weekend (posted that earlier) so the front on is in the picture too.
  13. I love the way Austin does stuff. He's moving to Minn., he didn't have an appartment, a job or know where he is going to school, but he is moving. So now he has a place to stay, not paid for yet, but still he has a place. Still no job, still no idea where he is going to school. But he is still going. And all of this for just one year. Oh to be young and foolish again.
  14. These guys deal in mostly newer stuff, GD series Imprezas. For earlier stuff, GC series Imprezas, you need to go to www.Gr8wheels.com .
  15. NOTICE: Pregistration closes on 7/8/05, if I have not received your money by 7/11/05, you will be paying full price at the gate.
  16. Actually I would never use a gasket sealer on an aluminum engine, only on a cast iron engine.
  17. Gee Brian, could you go back and read the orginal post again, he said that it has been one years since his original post about the magazine, not that he has been publishing for one year.
  18. Well, I don't believe it had anything to do with emissions. I have a 96 JDM WRX engine in my 96 Impreza. It is just as it came from Japan, and it is one of the best cars that I have ever run through emissions, it passed with plenty of room to spare. I simply think it was an example of not knowing the market. Subaru had turbo cars in the USA before the WRX, the last one being the Legacy Turbo (91 to 94), but apparently the sells were not convincing enough for them to bring the WRX to the USA. It took 8 years of begging to get them to finally bring a car that would have sold well in the first place.
  19. To answer your question, the only head gasket sealer that I ever use on any head gasket is the spray on copper sealer made by Permatex.
  20. Mark this day on your calendar, Fox and I agreed on something.
  21. I love the duct tape guage pod.
  22. Don't think I get another hernia, I stopped lift engines out of Subarus without a hoist. LOL
  23. Tim, you need to make sure that the turbo in the 84 has been replaced by the recall. The orginal turbos were not water cooled, the one replaced on recall were. If it is not, then you'll have to get a water line to the EA82 turbo unit and the return line to the right side head.
  24. WOW, your engine will turn that high, I have never had mine above 8,000 RPM.
