  1. Shady, any possiblity of you coming up with a custom roof carrier to fit on gutter clamps for sale like the one on your company vehicle?
  2. Really? I'm running 175/60's on there now (I didn't pick them out) and my manual says that 175/60/13s are the stock tires. I really want to get some bigger-ish tires, the ones are there now are bald and small.
  3. I was wondering that too. If I remember correctly, 4" lift takes a little while 3" is just bolt on? Is it true that just the 4" is going to be included in the bargain Shady?
  4. I guess I've never really understood how a person driving over 120mph has the time to take a picture of their speedo?? Must take more guts than I have . . .
  5. Would a 185/70/13 tire fit on a stock 13" subaru wheel? Thanks
  6. Haha, I'm lovin' that ghetto e-brake brick! Brat looks awesome, I'm diggin the white spokes, very nice touch.
  7. That thing is a BEAST!!!! Looks ssssooo awesome, good work. Lifted sedans, whodathunkit! Boy those rear tires are wicked close though, must get some rubbin' when you hit bumps, any idea on how you're gunna fix that?
  8. Just noticed soobmater, ssswweeetttt hoodscoop on that beast!
  9. Speaking of lawn mowers . . . One of my friend's dad bought a brand new like $4,000 John Deere and another friend and I took it muddin'!!!! One of my more retard friends was driving and he turned the blades on. Mud went flying and he now needs a new blade. Every inch of the mower was covered in mud, sick.
  10. Haha, I'll tell my parents to keep an eye on this thread!! Maybe if I am good this year, Santa will bring a sweet ea82 lift and some wheels!
  11. I used the same kit as Loyalewithcheese, works very well. The extra 2 inches or whatever that the stereo sticks out is covered by the kit, looks pro. There was someone selling discount Metra kits in the Buy/Sell forum but I can't remember who it was. He had bought a bunch of em and didn't need them anymore. Check Buy/Sell, I think he was selling em for like $5 + ship maybe?? (Paid like $12 for mine on ebay). As for the speakers, I figured that if I was getting a new Headunit, I might as well splurge and buy some nice speaks. Paid like $50 for a set of pioneer 200w mids, sound good. For the antenna, I just took off that extension (the one that is soldered to the stock headunit) at the connector. Then I cut off the connector, spliced a peice of wire in there and hooked the connector into my stereo, the connector plugs in enough so there are no fitting issues. Let us know if you have more questions, I know I was full of questions when I tried to get my new stereo in, it can be a pain!
  12. Very very nice. I like the home job on that snorkel, sweet indeed. Mud adds a nice look to her also.
  13. Remember to look for new posts before you bump. Year and model info is needed for them to help you.
  14. Ok, thanks snowman. Is the car still o.k. to drive?? I still need to get to and from school and work before I will get a chance to fix it next week. I was talking to a friend who said that it was alright if I run it, but if I don't fix it soon enough the exhaust will start corroded the engine etc. I plan to fix it next tuesday, is it safe to drive maybe a maximum of 20 miles for I fix it?? Thanks for all the help guys.
  15. Nipper, my gas mileage lately has been about 25ish around town and 30ish on the highway. The car has always taken a little umph to get it going but once it is in the 2000+rpm range, no power problems. I'll check out the exhaust system to see if I can hear anything. What I semi-suspect is that there had been maybe just a small section or chip of the gasket gone a couple months back and today it just totally let go. That small section of the gasket being gone would account for the trouble with low-end torque power as I was climbing that hill correct? I'll check napa for the gasket, thanks hatch.
  16. I didn't notice much going up the hill, but after I turned if off and then back on again and drove around a little, it got loud. How would I check for a plugged cat? And yes, the low end torque is horrible and overall performance is bad but I guess that is to be expected. Now I guess I just have to find those gaskets online somewhere? While I am at it, should I replace my exhaust system too incase something is plugged?
  17. Thanks for the tip zye, I checked it out an looks like I have nothing left of the gasket. Smoke was puffing out from all around the manifold. The bolts look pretty bad some I am just going to have a mechanic do it. I hate rust.
  18. I was driving a friend home from school today and we had to go up a pretty steep long hill. I kept my 94 loyale in first the whole time but it was struggling. I drop my friend off and hung out at his house for like 10 minutes. I started my car and drove down the street and it was very loud, like no exhaust on the car loud. I got home and I've check it out and it seems that the gasket between my engine and y-pipe blew out on the passenger side. I can clearly see a gasket on the drivers side, but there is like a black void on the passenger side. The exhaust system is solid, no rust holes so that is the only thing I can think of. Also, the nuts and bolts that hold the pipe on are pretty rusted and I don't know if I should try to take them off or just take it to a mechanic to fix. Any ideas? Am I right in my assumption that it is a gasket?
  19. 1994 Loyale - 40,564 miles. Great aunt had it before me. Wasn't much of a driver I guess. Back when I got it (last April) it had under 38,000 on it!!
  20. Ya, I found one of those too. Only found one it on the passenger side though. I have absolutely no clue what they are for. They couldn't possibly be another spare/flat holder? Anyone?
  21. If you don't have one alreay, go out and get a test light (like $5). Hook it up to the battery per instructions (the light should light up) and start pulling fuses. When the test light goes out, you've hit the right fuse. Look up what the fuse powers and start investigating. This sounds like a problem I had in my wagon. If I left it for a couple days without running it, it needed to be jumped. I bought a new alt and battery but nothing changed. I installed a battery cutoff switch by the radio which switched off the power. If I know I am going to be leaving my wagon for a couple of days, I just switch it off. Never had a problem since . . .
  22. Wow, that looks great! How did you end up filling that little gap that the lexan didn't cover? Where did you get that lexan sheet and what dimensions?, it looks like a pretty good size for windows.
  23. In my wagon, it isn't a nut, just a threaded peice of thick metal. If you remove the carpet totally, it should be behind the driver's seat, next to the plastic wheel well cover.
  24. Ya, thats what I was trying to get at. With the way the stock intake is setup, air is sucked in from pretty low on the car. Modify the box by moving it to higher ground (like Noah suggested) or remove the CAI (which is sucking in water lower) and you'll be all set with you intake. Good point brought up about the electrical connections too. Don't wanna fried wagon.
