  1. After a re-read I see its a auto tranny. It will have two dipsticks for the tranny. The one in front is for the diff, the one behind it is for the ATF. Alot of times the seal that separates the diff from the tranny fails and fills the diff with ATF. Also, if this is a 3spd AT, its junk and should be pulled and sold for scrap. If it was flat towed, the tranny is shot, but I dont think it would effect the front diff.
  2. Sounds like the center diff is about to go out. Check the dipstick, it on the passenger side of the tranny. Kind of next to the turbo.
  3. What are you back from? Rehab? Plastic surgery? Trip around the world? Glad to see you back Spark.
  4. Nice looking sedan. I hate to be the bearer of bad new tho. Those tires wont fit on metric rims. You need metric tires and they cost more than what you probably paid for your sedan.
  5. The coil might be toast. Do you have a extra? Just about any 80's coil will get you by till you can find the correct one.
  6. I'm going to be replacing both fenders on mine soon. The drivers side isnt that bad, just a few dings.
  7. This is pretty bad where I come from :-p But seriously, maybe one of the members north of you can keep their eyes open for something? SC, VA and around that area.
  8. I think you need to listen to the people at Delta. They have more experience building EA81's then you think.
  9. If its drinkinig coolant, you might have bad intake gaskets. Or it really is a bad HG. But definitely find out if the rad is cooling correctly and replace the t-stat.
  10. No need to pull it out. Let it run for a little bit then shut it down. Feel the top and bottom of the rad. If its cold on the bottom and hot on top, the rad is clogged. My RX is doing the same thing (but not overheating). Granted its only 17deg out, but even when its above freezing it takes forever to warm up. I have a pretty new dual core rad and I suspect the t-stat might be stuck open.
  11. The solenoids for the 4wd are vacuum actuated. Check the lines to make sure they arent broke/cracked or disconnected.+ *Edit*...Is this a Full Time AT?
  12. Does it overheat while idling, or on the road? Overheat at idle is from a bad waterpump. Overheat while on the road is a bad radiator. Or, it could be a bad thermostat. This is where you need to start first, use a OEM replacement. Tiny bubbles in the rad doesnt necessarily mean its a bad HG, but being a EA82T its possible
  13. Buy a can of any type spray lube that has a straw with it. Mine did the same thing the other morning and I used a spray bottle with hot water. But once I got it thawed out, I sprayed into the lock mechanism with PB Blaster. Works like a champ right now, but a better lube should be used for long term.
  14. Take 2 of these...<> <>... and call me in the morning.
  15. Ummm, the only one I have is currently still on the car and its not exactly nice enough out for me to be crawling under to measure :-\ I can check my parts book and see what it has tho... Edit*...No, it didnt show lengths :-\ But most of them were the same length for the 4EAT.
  16. When you said "Behind the wheel", I thought you meant that literally :-p This is me....out of the car
  17. I've got one in my shed...... But I'll wait to see what yours looks like first :-p
