  1. In the first link, he was using a RRFPR and chemicals(s) to clean the injectors. So those are the duty cycle rates of the EA82T inj. But why is there 2 readings for 100%? What are the duty cycle rates of the Z injectors? They have to be more than the EA ones.
  2. The EA82T injector flow rate is around 180cc. The 280ZXT is around 265cc. Not significant, but substantial. Need to get a higher FP rate going as stock is only 37psi. I have heard of the crush mod on recirc valves, but never on FPR's. I certainly wouldnt want to try that without the pressure gauge.
  3. I may be heading up north to deliver some parts real soon. Making a trip a little further south of me isnt a problem. I'll give you a heads up when I'm going.
  4. If your going to make it 4wd, I suggest getting a donor car. Your going to need alot of parts of it. But converting it to a manual 5spd isnt that hard. Just make sure you get the tranny crossmember, speedo/clutch cable, pedal box and center console.
  5. Are you serious? 491,000mi? On a 96 Legacy? If the tranny lasted that long, I would get a used one out of a wrecking yard (lower miles preferably) and drive it for a while longer. Is the engine getting tired or the body rusting out? Are there other reasons to junk it?
  6. Are you kidding? I can swap out a rear diff in 1/2hr (if I dont drop it on my face:rolleyes:) A tranny swap will take a couple hours, at the most.
  7. Like a F-4 Phantom kicking on the afterburners :-p TD04 with WRX IC, Spider intake and 2.5in exhaust. I think if I gutted the DP, I might get even better flow.
  8. That will probably cause problems. I know with the old school stuff, if you have a 3.7 trans and use a 3.9 rear diff (and vice verse) it creates all kinds of binding.
  9. I've seen some EA81's run on as little as 1/2qrt of oil with no ill effects. You might have knocked a vac line loose if its stalling at idle.
  10. Depends on where your from. But trying to lift one and put big tires on it is going to kill the fun factor. It will be absolutely gutless
  11. Hey Brian, how did it go? We want pics!
  12. Keep what you have stock. Go find another Justy....doesnt matter if its 4wd or not, or if it has a blown motor. Find a wrecked Sami. Put body of Justy on Sami frame. You might be able to fit a EJ engine under it, if theres clearance between frame and body. But theres other engine choices out there.
  13. That dust is almost as bad as the Off Camber Rally X a few weeks ago :-p
  14. Dude, I cant help you anymore :-\ If I was standing next to you, I would be kicking you in the rump roast and banging your head against the fender You need to figure some of this stuff out yourself, it really isnt that hard. Its a Subaru.
  15. The computer is located under the steering column. Theres a hole where a LED will flash from. Your green test connector is located in the engine compartment, drivers side, between the wiper motor and hood hinge.
  16. The procedure for reading the codes are at the top of the page. It tells you where and how to read the codes. It also tells you where the test connector is.

  18. Great news! I was in a yard today that had a 4dr Justy in it. Unfortunately, I was suffering from a bad case of CRS and couldnt recall what you needed. Glad you found one local.
  19. Thats several years old now. Guess I should update it :P

  20. Frank, I think your XT is originally from Canada. They were the only ones in NA to get the height adjustable air suspension. I believe there is a way to make a switch to make it manually adjustable. If you go do a search at www.subaruxt.com you might come up with something.
  21. As I posted on the other Board... Put up a WTB in the Wanted Forum. There should be somebody in the PNW area that has a disty. If that fails, get ahold of Aarons here in the Seattle area. http://aaronsauto.com/
