  1. Mine just made a 400mi trip and got about 30mpg. And it ran like crap! I have vac leaks all over. The TB gasket was bad, I replaced it. I still have leaks :-\ I'm going to take it off and really check it out, it may have gotten warped. The non-turbo spider I have looks like it might be a better choice anyways, it has less junk on it and the wiring harness looks to be a better match to my RX.
  2. You guys took off without even saying adios :-\ I hardly even got to talk you Shawn, after we rocked your boat Sat morning:-p
  3. A link to my pics. http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll95/Turbone/WCSS%20X/
  4. Well, my Imp decided it didnt want to go to the Show. Probably knew I was going to thrash it at the Rally X When I filled it up with gas for the first time, I lost about 5gal on the ground. Will have to cut out the floor to find the problem, I'm not dropping the whole rearend to drop the tank :-\
  5. Running 13lbs of boost. Keeping your foot out if is what saves gas :-p
  6. Yeah, hmmm. And you think your cooking is any better? :-p GREAT Show Will have pics to post later. Just want to sit and relax tonight. Already a bunch of pics and stories up on NASIOC.
  7. I got around 28mpg in my RX coming back from the Show today. And its running like crap
  8. Glad you got to make it down there, albeit without the car you wanted to bring. Good to know theres folks out there when your in need. Scott, your not alone with the car problems. At least mine didnt wait until I was far from Home (yet). I filled up my Imp this morning. When I came back out from getting my change there was a river flowing from under the car. People waiting to get gas were making quick exits I jumped in and rolled it down and away from the pumps and other cars. It was pouring out from the fuel line returns, on top of the tank No way to fix it today, the tank has to drop. I put a bucket under it and had Caboob pick me up. I waited about 4hrs and came back and the leaking had almost stopped (and the car hadnt exploded). Jumped in and hauled butt home, with Russ following me in my RX. Got the Imp home safely, but when Russ pulled in, my RX spewed steam from under the hood. So now its cooling off so I can work on it to fix the line that blew. I quess the Subaru Gods want to know how committed we are to getting to the Show I still got the XT6 (knock on wood).
  9. Just got a report from Ed on the bridge. The wait to get across is 1/2hr++. Advice is to take Hwy 4 from Kelso instead of Hwy 30.
  10. I think we are going to have a picnic table with us, and I have a fold up for food etc. Could always use the shade. My canopy bit the dust earlier this year. Yes, defiantly bring a shovel. Are we going to need rocks for the pit, to make a ring around it? Might be able to find those locally, dont want to add that to the loads we already have.
  11. I havent measured the roof of my Hatch yet, but 45.5in is pretty long :-\
  12. Its taking you 2 days to get there? I think arriving Wed/Thurs is a little early. I'm leaving Fri night.
  13. Your welcome to use my camp stove, we will have more than one. We will have tables setup and should have plenty of chairs to sit on also.
  14. If you got to the point, that wouldnt happen :-p:lol: Check the Hill Holder if it has one. I've had 2 of my EA81's leak enough to lose fluid after a time.
  15. Ok, still have a real bad low idle. It seems like a vacuum leak, but its impossible to locate. It seems to run better once its warmed up tho. When I put the intake on I didnt get the heater tube that has the fitting for heating the TB. How important is that? I dont think it would cause it to run like crap at idle.
  16. Hey, thats sharp. My Hatch would like to sport something like that
  17. After looking at the FSM again, it looks like all you need to do is remove the disc from the outer hub. Its worth a try.
  18. Apples and oranges. The 4wd has the bearings in the hub and the rotor has the splines in it. The 2wd has the bearings in the rotor assembly. And looking in the parts book, all the part numbers are different. Meaning, I dont think the backing plate is going to fit on the 4wd hub. I have 3 different numbers for the actual disc, but they look the same in the diagrams. I dont have dimensions in the parts book.
  19. I may have some parts after the Show. To busy to strip the parts car right now. You missed out on that engine. I'm keeping it now :-p But when I decide to swap, I'll let you know about the old one. Its running great at the moment.
  20. When you do the brushes, make sure you clean out all the dust. You have to flush the system to change the fluid type.
  21. Almost all of the 4wd EA81's have adjustable front struts. Look for bolts on both sides of the bottom strut plate.
  22. Get a hold of S'ko. He lives in LA, he might be able to help you out or find someone that can.
