  1. If you got to the point, that wouldnt happen :-p:lol: Check the Hill Holder if it has one. I've had 2 of my EA81's leak enough to lose fluid after a time.
  2. Ok, still have a real bad low idle. It seems like a vacuum leak, but its impossible to locate. It seems to run better once its warmed up tho. When I put the intake on I didnt get the heater tube that has the fitting for heating the TB. How important is that? I dont think it would cause it to run like crap at idle.
  3. Hey, thats sharp. My Hatch would like to sport something like that
  4. After looking at the FSM again, it looks like all you need to do is remove the disc from the outer hub. Its worth a try.
  5. Apples and oranges. The 4wd has the bearings in the hub and the rotor has the splines in it. The 2wd has the bearings in the rotor assembly. And looking in the parts book, all the part numbers are different. Meaning, I dont think the backing plate is going to fit on the 4wd hub. I have 3 different numbers for the actual disc, but they look the same in the diagrams. I dont have dimensions in the parts book.
  6. I may have some parts after the Show. To busy to strip the parts car right now. You missed out on that engine. I'm keeping it now :-p But when I decide to swap, I'll let you know about the old one. Its running great at the moment.
  7. When you do the brushes, make sure you clean out all the dust. You have to flush the system to change the fluid type.
  8. Almost all of the 4wd EA81's have adjustable front struts. Look for bolts on both sides of the bottom strut plate.
  9. Get a hold of S'ko. He lives in LA, he might be able to help you out or find someone that can.
  10. Depends on what deck you get. But in general, they stick out at least a inch.
  11. About 4mo ago I got some Brembo front rotors for my Brat off Ebay. Just installed them a few weeks ago and it really helped. I just went thru all my emails and might have deleted all the info I'll see what I can find on Ebay.
  12. Ok, back on topic. I should have the RX road worthy Fri. I still need the seal, the Dealer will have it tomorrow. I would have it done tomorrow, but I have a unpleasant task to attend to. Our Fire Chief's Service is tomorrow and its going to be a all day thing. For you locals, watch the 6pm news, it will be noted. Well, it was sort of on topic
  13. You bringing your own lighter fluid? And gogurt? :-p
  14. I've dreamt of a 4 link for years :-p Are there any Sami's out there with 4 links?
  15. I'll see if I can get some of that yellow Police tape they use for "incidents"
  16. Well, I cant make it :-\ I have a doctors app that day(IME). I just called and asked why they schecduled it on a Sat and they said it was the earliest/next opening they had. I cant reschedule it, its for Insurance
  17. Oops, wrong thread.
  18. Qmans Brat is the ultimate in straight axle setups. Even had a electric locker. It has a Isuzu rearend and a Nissan T-Case. And its a tad narrower than a Subaru track. Death Hatch never moved under its own power I dont think (never finished).
  19. Yeah, but you might have a problem doing t-belts on it tho
  20. $300 - $400 max. I see lots of potential problems with it.
  21. The steering column surround. But if he isnt careful, it will be a waste of time.
  22. Ah, what a difference :-p And I think I might have found my low idle stumble/vac leak. When I was loosening the TB bolts, I found one on the bottom that was loose. I got.......creative with using the RX throttle cable. It will do for the moment. Some of the IC I have will also make do on the 90 coming from the turbo. Unfortunately, the rear bearing I was going to replace will have to wait till Thurs when the correct part comes in
  23. Check the bushing in the rear diff hanger. Its the round one on top in the front.
  24. Thanks for the pics, Tex. When Russ was over today, this is exactly what he told me you did. He said when he was doing his setup, he picked your brain for help :-p Is that the stock or XT throttle cable? And did you get the Samco Y-pipe on Ebay?
