  1. I was a little disappointed today with the guy. He was there all day and we were all outside, working. I had Mykey over and then later Caboob showed up. He kept looking over, but not once said anything to us. I'm having a feud with the owners, so they might have warned him to stay away from the crazy guy next door Oh well, if he was a true Subaru fanatic, he would have said something.
  2. I thought he missed my house at first :-p They are pulling the doublewide out next door to me and I guess this guy is doing some work prior to the pull. I dont recognise the Brat, but I'm sure I will be talking to him. Like the dual axle trailer.
  3. Hmmm, wish it wasnt the weekend after WCSS10. But if I can, I would love to make it. Never been to Walker yet and my Hatch has just been sitting, growing moss :-\
  4. I would dismiss the idea of using a EA82T in your trike. To many headaches. What would be a better choice and withe a little more HP, would be the EJ22. Or even the EJ18. Much more dependable, bullet proof and many more of these are becoming available now.
  5. Depends on if you want it shipped or you come and pick it up. How far are you from Puyallup/Sumner?
  6. Glad to see I'm not the only nut working in a dirt driveway :-p
  7. My friend with the Mitsu Galant VR4 came home today and when he came to pick up his car (after I was done fixing his fubared stereo install) he decided to install his new injectors and Walbro fuel pump. Of course I volunteered to help We removed the fuel pump and fuel injectors and replaced the same with the new parts. Now, when I pulled the stock injectors out, I noticed that they were closely similiar to the EA injectors. I asked him if he knew what the flow was on them and he said he thought they were 420. I set them aside and we finished the job. He left and I continued working on ny RX. I finally tired of working on it and decided to check out the Mitsu injectors. So, I know how everyone likes pics, so without further a'do...(and I apoligise for some of the clarity - cell phone pics) Stock EA82T inj- Disassembled The Mitsu inj Side by side comparison The Mitsu with the collar and rubber grommet on With the plastic base on Sitting in the manifold As you can see, the spray pintle is shorter on the Mitsu inj and lacks reaching into the boss by 1/4in. The distance can be shortened by cutting down the plastic base by 5/16. It would also be mandatory to have a RRFPR. I think 420 would be more than adequate for our needs and alot easier to find these than the Nissan 280ZX injectors. Thoughts?
  8. I may have one thats not broken. I was just messing with a couple of turbo intakes today and I think theres one available.
  9. Rotated by how much? Got any pics? N/M, found some pics. Looks like you rotated the whole turbo/DP/Up-pipe. Right?
  10. Quoted from the WCSS web site.
  11. My IC piping from the TD04 has been a nightmare. Because its pointing directly at the TB I have less than 2in between the turbo and TB. Not easy getting a hose to fit in there. I'm seriously contemplating clocking the turbo up more to have added clearance. But then I need to re-route the top coolant line and some other stuff in the way. Its always something. I'll get some pics tomorrow and post them.
  12. Need more info on the car to help diagnose. Is it a 5spd with dual range? Has it had a tune up recently? Fuel filter new?
  13. Well, my TD04/WRX IC/Spider swap is running. Altho its not idling well. Due to a vacuum leak, which I believe its coming from my block vent hose. And its buried :-\ So in the next few days, or weeks, I'll try and get to it. Once its up to about 2500rpms, its fine. Now on to the next project.......rear wheel bearing
  14. I'll talk to her about it. But a lunch/brunch and a cruise sounds like a good idea.
  15. Some of you are trying to over-analyze this. And everyone needs to read the OP's posts carefully. Its a RX with 4 wheel disc brakes and 13" tires. It has new pads on the front, unknown on the rear (TAKE NOTE). Brake fluid has been replaced and of course, brakes bled. The HH has been disconnected. He has brake fade. The brake lock up is common for cars without ABS. Since he just put new pads on the front and doesnt know the condition of the rears, this could be the biggest reason of lock up in the front. The brake fade is most likely due to a weak MC. Install new rear brake pads and change out the MC for the Lego.
  16. I will be her chauffeur while she is here (and chaperon) Set up a time and place and we will try and make it.
  17. Guys, your cluttering up the thread. Take it to PM's please.
  18. Its not coming from it, its being sucked in. The oil is most likely coming from the turbo, which means the seal is bad. Was ther alot of oil in the throttle body and plenum also?
  19. You may have residual oil in the exhaust system. Let it run for a while to see if it goes away. If not, the oil seal in the turbo is bad. Is this a AT? If so, it could be sucking ATF up from the modulator and into the intake. Edit... N/M on the AT question, I see its a 5spd.
  20. No, he's pretty much correct. Finding Enkei centercaps is like searching for the Holy Grail. If you can find a way to get some made, go for it.
  21. Yeah Gary, thats exactly what I did. I used a little jewelers screwdriver to stick down alongside the pins, then pulled hard. They came out with no problem. So the few plugs I needed to swap are basically original (XT). But I was dreading having to re-pin the main connectors like a few have done. 20+ wires per plug:-\ I think I've fought more with the PCV stuff than the wiring, lol. Now heres something I just thought of concerning my turbo piping. You know what happens with a water hose when you pinch it? The velocity becomes greater. I dont think the actual pressure changes, just the speed it comes out. Now with the hose that I have coming off the turbo, its got a pinch in it. Maybe around 30%. I'm wondering if this will restrict the flow, increasing the velocity. Or will it do the oppisite?
  22. My 89.5 must be a different animal then :-\ The TPS had 2 plugs. The main had 2 wires and the other had 3. But this is what I did....... I swapped harness's. I removed the XT-T harness and installed the RX harness. I had to change the knock sensor plug, the IAC plug, of course the TPS plug. I have one wire left over on the TPS. I have to look at my FSM, but it doesnt cover the 89.5, only 88. I also have no EGR on my engine, so I have to block of the plate on the intake. Oh, and another thing. The waterheater for the TB. The XT-T gets it from the tube off the heater hose from the WP. I didnt get that and I am NOT pulling the intake off to replace it right now. Its summer and I wont need it (I hope). So in all, the harness swap was pretty quick, took me about a hour to remove both and install the other. And its all in the back, unseen. But OMG, the hoses were a PITA to route. I'll try and get a pic tomorrow when theres more light. I had to relocate the IAC. There was no way to get hoses to it, as it was under the intake and in front of the turbo. I have less than 2in between the turbo outlet and the AAC on the TB. This looked like it was going to be a major problem, but I have some hoses from a Daytona with nylon webbing and its flexible(thnx Qman). If theres a problem with air flow, I will have to see about clocking it some. UPS dropped off my LUK clutch today, so I need to prep my flywheel and do a few odds and ends on the intake then its all going back in. Then I get to tackle the rear wheel bearing
  23. You can ride down with my clan. I'm sure there will be a spare seat. Especially with 3 cars going down
  24. I think thats great....if you have a co-pilot :-p My setup.
