  1. Start by reading these threads. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=94276&highlight=tick+death http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=87748&highlight=tick+death http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=87315&highlight=tick+death http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=83795&highlight=tick+death There is 3 pages of info on this one problem.
  2. Why bother screwing around with new glass? There tons of whole mirrors in the wrecking yards. I probably have several in a box.
  3. For which group? You need to be more specific (and post in the correct forum). The XT/XT6/SVX group is set to go in June 26th-27th. http://subaruxt.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=10207&sid=a10d8fa35ad6890caeafd1724ced6fba As far as I know, theres no other Old School meet going to the Dragon. There is a New Gen meet that usually goes, but I have no clue about that. Look it up on Nasioc if your interested in that. Theres also local groups that go.
  4. Welcome to the Board! There is a dedicated site for the XT (or Alcyone) fans. Its http://subaruxt.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=1&sid=230f82ae140967de3052a23bb0d3c6ef It does sound like the alternator is having issues tho. If you have a meter, I would check the output on it. Oh yeah, when you register there, make sure you post pics
  5. As far as I know, alot of different years/models will work. But to get a definitive answer, post in the New Gen forum.
  6. That might be a EU spec turbo. One of the guys from the other side (of the pond) will probably chime in to confirm.

    weld rear diff

It would probably be cheaper and easier to go with a straight axle and install a electric locker in that. Gee, I wonder who did that? (No, it wasnt me)
  8. Are you talking about the e-brake cable? If so, you need to pull the lever back a little bit so you have some slack and then use a pair of pliers and pull the end off the lever.
  9. You need a complete window frame to install a vent visor. How do you expect to attach it?

And dont forget, the gas tank is right above your head And you will need about 6-7 cans of brake cleaner too.
  11. I had a 92 Mazda 2600i 4x4 ext cab. It was all import, no Ford in it. And it was the most reliable rig I've ever owned. I bought it with around 112k on it and had to replace the OEM clutch at around 160k. I had a CV go bad on the drivers side front axle (its a 2 piece job), but other than that, it was a great runner. It even made a couple of trips up to Evans Crk with the HP and had no problems on the hard stuff. I traded it when it was about to hit 200k, straight across, for my Hatch. I still miss that truck :-\
  12. Oh god, its got a Saturn 1.9 in it Thanks god for gearing
  13. Have you tried to pinpoint the leak exactly? The only place in the area you claim are the filler tube for the front diff. That does not take AT fluid, only gear oil. The tranny dipstick is on the other side. Theres a vac line that runs from that side that goes up to the intake, but its not supposed to have any fluid in it. I suggest you check the cooler lines the run from the drivers side of the tranny to the radiator.

    Camo paint job

I know a guy that did that to his 83 GL Wagon. He used fern leaves and it turned out really nice. He even thru in some little bunnies
  15. Absolutely Even have a kiddie pool for guys like me And one muddy hill I couldnt quite make it up.

    Camo paint job

I've been wanting to repaint my Hatch in the new digi camo, in urban color scheme.
  17. Hey Kaz, can you re-host the pics? I've been re-directing people here and they need pics.
  18. Ahhhh, somebody as stubborn and hardheaded as me :-p I have yet to swap any of my cars to a EJ. And I know my RX could give you EJ'd guys a good run Do it right and keep it simple and it will work.
  19. Actually, its not the heads - its the pistons. The turbo pistons are dished, which decreases the comp.
  20. You would also need the engine x-member, its cutout for the up-pipe. Also the complete engine harness and maybe the rest too, because they changed wiring in 87. And just so you know.......there have been a few people that have made high compression turbo engines. This engine model is fragile and very temperamental. And they didnt last very long.
  21. Could be the e-brake on that side is not releasing all the way. Happens when it gets real cold out.
  22. Do you have the clutch plate lined up correctly? Did you use the alignment tool? I like to leave my pressure plate bolts a little loose so the clutch can move. This way if its a little off, it will move that final mm and the shaft will go in. Once you have the tranny bolted up, just go thru the starter hole and tighten up the bolts. Try rotating the engine from the crank pulley too.
