  1. Yeah, I know what you meant. But Dr. RX did that late last month. He pulled his winter tires off and it snowed 3 days later :-p This is my 89 XT6, currently on loan to the guy that helped me do the swap. My 92 SVX is in the background.
  2. All ER stuff for now. Hope to get EJ on the front and coil overs later. Along with the rear e-brake.
  3. Sorry guys, but I could really care less about snow in Colorado
  4. Took off my winter tires and put on the summer ones. I think we are done with winter Oh yeah, it got a 5 lug swap today HUGE kudos to Caboob for helping me out. It would have taken me a couple of days to do it by myself. But being the slavedriver he is, we got er done in about 6hrs. I was too tired and burned out to wash it, I'll get some better pics later. Also need to replace the clutch very soon. But I'm very happy with the swap.
  5. You still havent been to my place, I think I have him beat. If you want, I can go look at it with you.
  6. Lol, that car hasnt even seen the road yet :-p They will get swapped before its sold.
  7. Glad to see I'm not the only packrat around here
  8. You get razzed by the SVX community until you get them swapped
  9. At the time, they were good parts. Just not made to last more than 20yrs.
  10. BFH usually works for me. And what happened to the brakes?
  11. Hmmm, it didnt have that problem before. Is the dash all hooked up?
  12. Its in between the turbo and the head. If you dont make sure to get it slipped on while installing the turbo, it can be rather frustrating to get on. Probably why they only put a spring clip on it and its not under much pressure.
  13. I'm pretty sure the drier is Subaru generic. I had the system on my 89 XT6 recharged last year with R12 and its doing great. But I have no clue where the expansion valve is.
  14. Never owned/touched a Gen 1 mechanically yet :-p Lots of PB Blaster on the nuts. They like to freeze up from the heat. Getting the oil return line back on is a PITA, but the rest is straight forward.
  15. In that picture they look tiny. Like they would bend on the first jump :-\
  16. Black hose goes to the pipe on the thermostat housing (Coolant return line) Red hose goes to the pipe that sticks up on the back of the head (Oil return) Braided line needs to go to a fitting on the back side of the head. Nice seats. I think you need bigger speakers in the back :-p
  17. Not really that much work. Weld TD04 up-pipe flange on EA82T up-pipe. Get TD04 DP and 2.5in exhaust. Get WRX IC and get creative with plumbing. And thats pretty much it. You can leave it there, or dump more $ into it. I wouldnt do any of this on a EA82T engine that has over 125K tho.
  18. Yes, you broke a belt. The drivers side to be exact. It runs the disty. Here is the procedure to replacing them. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=50768
  19. Hey, thats just ONE car. You shouldnt be complaining :-p
  20. They look like they are for a ATV? Maybe double up on each corner :-p
  21. Not uncommon at all. I let my old 84 Turbo Coupe sit most of the Summer once. Got the tranny fixed and in the process found several nest in various places. Including the inside of both rear view mirrors. But I missed one. It was in between the door jamb and front fender. I opened the door and sat down to get into the glove box. I got hit 3 times before I could run away.

  23. You mean your bored Ed and I were getting lonely here, glad to see you back.
