  1. Indeed. Look at the hassle that Earl had trying to get a JDM SVX into the US. It never happened :-\
  2. Its not that hard to swap trailing arms. GL10 and Turbo XT's also have sway bar trailing arms.
  3. Its not a matter of IF, its WHEN. The car is 22yrs old and we know nothing about its history. If its the original engine, its going to need major work if maintenance wasnt kept up. I have alot of time/effort/money invested in mine. I'm pretty anal about everything on it and it uses up alot of my time to keep it running 100%. But damn, its fun when it is 100%. I have Rally X'd it several times, but retired it. It cant hang with the New Gen Subaru's.
  4. First of all, welcome to USMB and the RX Club. Hope you have deeeeeep pockets Try doing a search her EA82T here and in the Retrofit Forum, lots of info in both. The stock engines are very problematic and if your not familiar with Subaru EA82T engines, it can be quite a challenge. The RX is not really suited for offroad use, but its not to bad when it comes to Rally and Rally X. Theres a few members in CO that are RX owners, they might add their .02. Look in my gallery if you want to see mine and do a search for my posts on the build.
  5. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=stevenson&sll=45.659167,-122.152863&sspn=0.465512,1.235962&ie=UTF8&ll=45.657248,-122.178955&spn=0.465528,1.235962&z=10
  6. Its OBD1, so it should be easy to pull the codes with a reader. If you want better/more info, go to http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=30&f=2
  7. This vehicle sounds familiar. I've either seen the for sale ad, or someone has posted about it looking for help. If I remember, the problem was fixed. BUT, without any more info about the problem with this car, I dont see how we could be of any help.
  8. If this is true, then you have a problem. You will most likely need help if you go for this. There are some members that are in your area, maybe they will volunteer to help.
  9. I would head to Barstow, more places there to maybe get parts. I know theres a Subaru Dealership in San Berdo, but I cant remember the name of it. To fix that engine correctly, you will need to have the heads milled flat again....as I'm sure they be warped now. Unless you can find another set to get you by. If another board member (S'ko) chimes in, he might be of some assistance. I think there might be another member or 2 in that general area, but I'm not positive without doing a search.
  10. I dont think its a part from your Brat. The Clarin Corp makes this stuff: Products Description: Metal & fibre glass chairs for office, school, auditorium, modular seating, etc. Back rest, Footboard seating fixture, Seat pivot, Chair seat, Portable Structures, Tents and Membrane Structures, Grandstands and Bleachers, Auditorium or stadium or special use seating parts and accessories, Executive seating, Lounge seating, Stool seating. I'm not sure about that last one
  11. No, theres nothing cheap you can do. They come from the factory pretty gutless. You can however, get a Weber carb and adapter for it. Which will make it somewhat quicker, but no speed demon.
  12. The bottom rails need to be swapped. The passenger seat is easy, but the drivers is a pain because its height adjustable. You will need to drill out some rivets to get the rails off it and put on the GLF seat.
  13. Theres a few members from the EU on the XT Board that have done 5 lug swaps. Lazer is the screen name of one guy and he's from Norway. http://subaruxt.com/forum/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=416 He might be able to help you find the parts needed for the swap. What I find really interesting about this RX is that it has a factory electric sunroof. Only the GL-10's got those here,
  14. That comes up with a invalid selection I've always called this part a ECU, the 86/87/88 book calls it a EGI. But the numbers are not in my book. I have one from a 89 XT6 and can ship.
  15. First of all, not sure what a EGI board is on a XT6. Secondly, this should be posted in the Wanted forum. And third......you might get a better response over at http://subaruxt.com/forum/index.php?sid=fdc55b7d302509f45a96d63d070f10d1 I just looked for the number in my parts book and theres no listing for that part number.
  16. Disconnect is in the door. And they are not that heavy, the 2dr Coupes are tho.
  17. The last one on your list might be Fshnidiot.
  18. Without articulation, the rig will just tip over.
  19. Thats why those suckers are made from concrete!
  20. I took a while to find it... http://www.indysworld.com/80s/general/USRM/Transmission/Governor/ATgovenorclean.htm
  21. My turn! I say he's a TROLL. Banninate him
  22. Noob settings :-p Pics work fine for me also. Looking great Mick
  23. Theres a couple of people in Spokane that might be willing to help out. Baccaruda has a swapped EJ Wagon. Monstaru has a EJ swapped Hatchback. In the Retrofit Forum, theres a lot of info on the swap.
  24. Usually only happens to the turbo models. Theres a few members, me included, that have encountered this. Look for a hole in the location stated above.
  25. If you are talking about in between the DP and turbo, there is supposed to be one. Its a 2 layer metal sandwich type.
