This really isnt that hard...
-
Hmmm, pull the plugs out and see if it will turn over?

Well, considering the low mileage and LSi package (leather) it woud be worth that much. If the tranny was good. If its in excellent shape, then I might consider it for that price. I would do whatever it takes to find out more about the one on CL/Fresno. Thats a hella good price, even with a bad tranny. You can get a Lego tranny for pretty cheap, at the most $300.

WCSS10 Location and Date Set!

We have folks driving from the East Coast this year. And I drove to the Dragon last year. If people want to come, they will -
Hey Boz, I didnt know you had a SVX. Way cool I happen to have 3. Have one on the road, one waiting for engine and tranny and the other is the donor. My somewhat DD has 202+++mi on it. I installed a tranny cooler, put some Nissan Murano wheels on it and tinted the windows. It now needs a paint job. Oh, I also replaced the windshield. At a cost of $360. But it does not come with the moulding If the installer is careful(mine wasnt) it can be re-used. I did up my insurance on it to cover the glass. We do have a short lifespan on glass here in the PNW, so hopefully I will need another one soon. I know that sounds bad, but with a $100 deductible I will be able to afford a OEM replacement ($1200). So far I havent had any problems like the tranny, wheel bearings, etc. I believe the car was well taken care of before I got it from the last owner. And he didnt have it that long.

So...yeah...My engine is screwed!!!

Retard the timing a little and use regular gas. That will help :-p Guaranteed to blow some ring landings off -
Went over and helped out today. Had good spark but fuel was shooting out the carb. Pulled the timingbelt covers off (replaced recently) and found timing was off. Fired right up after correcting, even on 3 cyl (oops). Now he just needs to replace the bad axle he just got from the parts store We'll get this Soob on the road yet. And if we can just get him to delete the pics now.....

Your not doing it right :-p Alot of people dont have the ability/know how/time to do it themselves. Your one of the few capable to do so. I would do it, if I had the place to tear a engine apart. If you look at my photo gallery where I show my cars in the driveway, its dirt. Thats a place I wont be doing engine internals at. -

A 3yr/36K warranty is worth it to me. -

Oh, now theres a sticky wicket -
Where does the other end go? To a silver cylindrical thing? If so, I think it goes to ground. Its a noise suppressor.
-
Do you run it year round? I can see using it cold, sub freezing temps. But when it gets warmer out I think a thicker viscosity lube would be better.
-
Black to the + terminal and yellow to the - terminal. Not sure where the red one goes:confused:
-
Well, Spring is here. I dont suggest running that in your gearbox for long. You will be looking for another one shortly.
-
Sweet. Be careful riding out there.

Dont expect to get anywhere fast

Installing a rear swaybar.
Turbone replied to Subaru_dude's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I know I struggled to get my XT6 swaybar on my RX. I had it up on jackstands and used my floor jack to lift each hub. It was still a bear.
