Turbone replied to Turbone's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI already paid a good chunk of money for a complete 95 interior and a few other parts (doors). I have no use for the tail lights and rear bumper. Make me a offer.

Turbone replied to Turbone's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXHmmm, thanks for the offer (I think). I also have a set of Lego seats, but they are cloth. Have all the adjustments on them also. Once this thing is ready to roll, I might swap seats.

EA82 turbo engine swap.
I suggest a search here on the EA82T engine. Depending upon the maintenace of the used engine, you could be in for alot of headaches. Besides that, the swap issues would be mainly the wiring. You will need the complete engine harness and ECU. The knock sensor unit, engine x-member. Theres been alot of discussion of it here.

Turbone replied to felixwankel88's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI just pulled a 2.2 with 202+++ from a 97 Imp and put it in my 95 Imp. Its clean and runs great, no smoke. Should get another 100K out of it. With proper maintenace

svx questions
Well, considering the low mileage and LSi package (leather) it woud be worth that much. If the tranny was good. If its in excellent shape, then I might consider it for that price. I would do whatever it takes to find out more about the one on CL/Fresno. Thats a hella good price, even with a bad tranny. You can get a Lego tranny for pretty cheap, at the most $300.

No, the DOJ has seperated from the axle. It can be fixed, but he wants to see if he can return it first.

svx questions
Hey Boz, I didnt know you had a SVX. Way cool I happen to have 3. Have one on the road, one waiting for engine and tranny and the other is the donor. My somewhat DD has 202+++mi on it. I installed a tranny cooler, put some Nissan Murano wheels on it and tinted the windows. It now needs a paint job. Oh, I also replaced the windshield. At a cost of $360. But it does not come with the moulding If the installer is careful(mine wasnt) it can be re-used. I did up my insurance on it to cover the glass. We do have a short lifespan on glass here in the PNW, so hopefully I will need another one soon. I know that sounds bad, but with a $100 deductible I will be able to afford a OEM replacement ($1200). So far I havent had any problems like the tranny, wheel bearings, etc. I believe the car was well taken care of before I got it from the last owner. And he didnt have it that long.

Oh, and the only car with a backup light on the rear bumper is a XT. Are you sure your not mistaken on the model?

Went over and helped out today. Had good spark but fuel was shooting out the carb. Pulled the timingbelt covers off (replaced recently) and found timing was off. Fired right up after correcting, even on 3 cyl (oops). Now he just needs to replace the bad axle he just got from the parts store We'll get this Soob on the road yet. And if we can just get him to delete the pics now.....

Your not doing it right :-p Alot of people dont have the ability/know how/time to do it themselves. Your one of the few capable to do so. I would do it, if I had the place to tear a engine apart. If you look at my photo gallery where I show my cars in the driveway, its dirt. Thats a place I wont be doing engine internals at.
