Well, Spring is here. I dont suggest running that in your gearbox for long. You will be looking for another one shortly.

Installing a rear swaybar.
Turbone replied to Subaru_dude's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I know I struggled to get my XT6 swaybar on my RX. I had it up on jackstands and used my floor jack to lift each hub. It was still a bear. -
Not to many choices on cap and rotor, altho I've never heard of the YEC brand. If its from Japan, it cant be all bad (?). I found a set of NGK plug wires on Ebay, look around there. Mine are 7mm and seem to be working fine. Theres a concoction out there called "Scotties Cocktail". http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=920674&highlight=scotties+cocktail I have it in my 89 RX and its working better now.

Better off getting ahold of Emily at CCR and getting a rebuilt short block. -
You need to re-set the ECU. Either disconnect the battery for about a hour or go thru the re-set procedure here - http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=49918

They are only canted out a little tiny bit. And I will drive my SVX when the weather gets hot enough. Which is about 1 week out of the year Oh, I just rememberd....my Imp has A/C :-p

I was able to mount them in that location because I dont have a AC condensor. Thats why Russ hasnt got a grill to cover his yet. You may have to mount yours insdie the engine compartment, but theres lots of room in there and thier loud enough it wont be a problem. Might want to be sure everything is tight in there tho, it might rattle it loose :-p

Got tired of the weak horns and my air horns wouldnt work 100% of the time. So a while ago I forked out the $ for some Hella Supertones. Installed the yesterday. Man, those suckers are LOUD!

If you want to be price conscious, look at the Potenza 960AS Pole Positions. They are a all season tire, but here in the PNW, I think its needed. I just put a set on my 89 RX after a bunch of research and for the money they are hard to beat. And so far I'm really liking them. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Bridgestone&tireModel=Potenza+RE960AS+Pole+Position

wHAT KIND OF MUFFLER ON MY 88 TURBO WAGON
Turbone replied to Kyoung's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Its restricted from the turbo back. If you want it to breath better, get a 2.5in system from the DownPipe back. Put just about any muffler you want on, but if you put a big fart can on, dont post pics here of it. The next recommendation I have for you, is to learn the search function -

With a better suspension setup, the push and weight problem would be minor. And this would be the best bang for the buck. If you (Zukiru) make it to the Dragon this year, you have to get a ride in Frankenwedge. You might change your mind about the 2.5 -

Did you clean the seals? If they are clean of mold, dirt, etc they will seal to the glass better. -
Give a hollar to the lads at ausubaru.com. There should be some in that area that would like to meet up with a yank and show him around

HELP with axles PLEASE!! :)
Turbone replied to audio_file's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Have you tried taking the axle off the stub and working on it that way? Someone said the stub may be hung up on the sleeve that seperates the bearings. Have you pulled the stub out and tried looking to see if its dropped and in the way?
