  1. Does anyone have pics of a Brushman brushguard? I'm trying to put one on my Brat and things are not fitting right:-\ Yes, I did a search and came up with nothing on the Bushman guard.
  2. Scott, whats going on in Auburn? Thats about 10min from me.
  3. If money isnt a problem, definalty go with the Stage II clutch and OEM axles.
  4. Depending on which application its going to be used for, the Brat rollbars can be modded to fit. For instance, I have the short Brat rollbar and its going in my Hatch (with some modification).
  5. Thats a 82 or earlier Brat. They didnt come out with a turbo until late 83. Can you tell if it was a retrofit?
  6. After searching for a couple of years I got lucky a few weeks ago. I scored a IC off a Saab before some other scavenger got it:headbang: Its all in the timing. Some days you get lucky.
  7. I believe the only difference is the temp sender. The turbo unit uses the light where the non turbo uses the gauge. The pump I have on my RX has both, so I dont think it matters. Except for the price.
  8. Not sure if the website is still active or not, they said they were not going to do internet ordering any more. But you can try 1stsubaruparts.com. https://www.1stsubaruparts.com/partscat.html But read this first.......http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=56915&page=2&highlight=1stsubaruparts.com You may want to make the call instead.
  9. It sounds like the catalitic converter is plugged up. Its the big bulge part of the downpipe after the turbo. Try disconnecting the downpipe from the turbo and start the car. It will be loud but it will tell you if the cat is plugged.
  10. I also gained about 1in+ in hieght, which is no biggie for me as I'm vertically challenged:D I also used the stock GL rails, they are bolted to the seat on the inboard side and to the flat stock on the outboard side. I need to take pics, but the seats have to come again if I do:-\
  11. I agree with GD. You need to call Jason at 1 866 528 5282, he's the Parts guy at a Subaru Dealership here in the US. Tell him its for a EA82 (He actually knows what that is) and I'm pretty sure he can ship it to you. He's mentioned to me a few times that he has shipped to different countries.
  12. Where was that Brat you saw up in the Mtns? Was it Rieter Pit? And was the Brat silver with a big lift? Btw, nice Brat and welcome to the USMB:headbang:
  13. Window tint also saves the interior:brow: Easier to come by than louvers. Not quite the same coolness factor, but cooler none the less.
  14. So the Imp seats are actually narrower than the EA81 GL seats? The Legacy seats I put in my Brat were 1in wider than the EA81 GL seats, hence my use of the 2in flat stock. There wasnt enough material on the Leg seat to move it over that 1in I needed. But mine are equipped with hieght adj (drivers seat) and adj headrest:-p
  15. Did you do the install? And how are they installed. Do you like them? Not trying to be a smart rump roast, but just telling me you have Leg seats in your Brat and no other comments? Or is it to early in the morn and you havent had enough coffee yet?:-p
  16. Get ahold of mtnman38, he has a AA lift installed on his EA82 wagon. He has a different take on it.
  17. Well, in my haste to post the original thread, I mistakenly labled the seats as Impreza. They are not. I got them out of a Legacy L. And they are now installed in my Brat:headbang: I'll post some pics and more info in a few days, but the difference is astonishing. Granted, when I pulled the drivers seat out of the Brat and turned it over to pull the rails off, one of the springs fell out:rolleyes: So it definatly has seen better days. The pass seat install was a breeze. I used a 2in wide and 3/16 thick piece of stock for my adapter. Its only need on the outside rail as the width of the seat rails for the Brat are 16in wide, the Leg seat rails are 17in wide. Drill the stock to fit the holes on the Leg seat then measure over 1in and mark the holes from the Brat rails. Once drilled simply attach the rails to the seat and install. The stock goes on the outboard side of the seat. It fit perfect the first time, heh (I suprised my self there). The drivers seat is a different story. Because of the hieght adj the rails are a little bit of a hassle and totally different than the pass seat rails. For one thing, each rail on the back side has a STEEL rivet and 2 tack welds and only a bolt up front. The brackets are also 2 peice to allow for the riseing and lowering of the seat. Wider stock might have been better here as the brackets tend to get in the way of the bolts to hold the rail to the stock. I'll have to take a few pics of this for a better explanation. Both seats have plastic side covers on the bottom. The pass seat cover is wider than the drivers seat cover and needs to be trimmed because the door sill plastic interferes. Another pic here will help visualize, I do apologise for the lack of pics but it was a rainy day and I was in a hurry to get the last seat done. My measurements were correct again:clap: And the drivers seat bolted right in. I'm a very happy camper I tell ya. The Leg seats are thicker or deeper, however you want to say it. So the acutal hieght adj is all the way down for me. If I cranked it all the way up, I just might be close to the t-top.
  18. Oh, snap! You did get my last post about the mirror, right?
  19. Wow, you scored big time. You got back twice what you paid for the car, you still have the car (right?) and it should be easy to fix. Just hope your feeling better.
  20. Install in back of last cat, put a bung in tailpipe for sparkplug:grin: Anyone know what this will do?
  21. I believe the only thing different is the tranny mounts. Altho thinking about it, the TC might be different also.
  22. Thats a pretty clean Hatch, saw it when I was over there a month ago.
  23. What year was the Leg? I think it has to be 93 or older.
  24. Right now I'm just using a terry cloth pad, changing frequently when it gets nasty. I'll go back over it with a foam pad I bought from a auto body paint store. My buffer is adj and I'm turning it at about 12oo. Pics of the results to come soon.
