Your best bet is to go over to XT6.net. They are XT specific there and I think one of the board members has done the turbo setup.

Qman came over today, just had to show n' tell. Described my prob with the Hatch, after looking at the winch. Put it in gear and let out the clutch, it just sat there. Now, I was going to do this, but havent had the minute to do it:rolleyes: He looked underneath and chuckled. What? I said. Look under the car, he said. I got out, the car still in gear and running (e-brake on). The right rear is just churning away, digging up turf. The left rear is stationary. I had pulled the axle out after my last run:rolleyes: Cant figure out why the tire turns but wont move car (even with e-brake off). Prarie Ridge = Bonney Lake

Well, besides having to install the winch, I need to find out if my rear diff is toast:rolleyes: And I need to install fender flares, so I hopefully wont get ticketed by the Sheriff:mad:

I really have to pat myself on the back, twice. He was getting set up for a major yard sale. His garage was full of computer stuff, gun holsters, etc (he just sold two bench loads of reloading stuff). If I wasnt in such a hurry, I know I would have spent more $. And I got out of there as fast as I could:burnout:

You can just see it behind the trike in the Brat pic:D Good new for the RX. Passed emissions and got new plates for it. Its finally legal and on the road after 2.5yrs:headbang:

Do the NA turbo swap. I think (I'm still researching) all is needed for the swap is to change blocks. I know it sounds to simple, but the intake stays with the car and bolts to the NA block. Transfer over the crossover pipe. You guys that have done the retrofit, speak up.

Oh yeah, another issue about the Brat I forgot. It seems the PO was doing the neighborly thing and pulled some friends out during winter. He was a little aggressive tho. Both tow hooks and mounts are completely torn off the frame rails:eek: They tried to repair it by welding and bolting them thru the bed, but it looks like he tried to do the same thing again. The mounts for the bumper and all the metal behind the roll pan are mangled. I have my work cut out for me.

I have 3 different cars I would lke to bring. The RX of course, the Brat and the Hatch. If I bring the Hatch, I'll be able to play in the mudpit. But risk breaking and having to fix it in order to get it back home. If I find another driver, I might bring 2.

It all depends on where you live. Theres plenty of them here in the PNW. The black RX is especially rare, they were only made for the last half of 89.

Yup, they are. I think I have a broken shock in the rear, its sagging and sometimes rubs. I'll have some more pics of the Brat coming. I have some things to install and I plan on polishing and buffing it.

Well, bad news. The center console needs to come out. The clamp that holds the cable most likely came loose and the only way to get to it is to remove the console. Kind of detailed to remove, in other words, a PITA. If you want to come to my place, I can help you do it. And btw, most of the folks from XT6.net are here also.

Got ambitious this weekend and pulled the RX out of mothballs and moss. God was the thing a mess. Took me a couple of hours to wash it. Wanted to get the new Brat cleaned up for a photo shoot also. Oh yeah, I got the 84 Brat about 3 weeks ago og CL. $1200. It has/had some issues. Both motor mounts were busted. The Hitachi was for a 81:rolleyes: . The front u-joints are bad. But the only rust is on the drivers rocker panel.

What? I thought you taller folks had longer arms? I think it would be more functional if a few inches were added.

I've had my RX for 3yrs. Its still not on the road. And it runs even! I finally pick up a IC for it, just need the pipeing. Then I just might get plates for it:-p
