I believe its on all 3dr's. I have it on my RX. Post in the marketplace for it, someone there should have it, or know where one is.
-
If it has a clutch fan, I would remove it and replace it with an electric one. That way you can turn it on in traffic. I have the regular elec fan plus the accessory fan on my EA82T, and it works quite well.

Did you check Aarons?

Hmm, now that we all know you are of the female persuasion, you will probably get more replies  And I'm not replying because of that, I'm married. The rear gate of your Brat is unique becuase its in good condition, and you have alot of stickers on it. There is another girl on the board (Blue Soob) that used to have a EA82 Wagon that was completly covered on the back with stickers. Must be a girl thing? I heard that there are alot of Peugeuot cars there also. The 1980's 505's and I think some 506's (NOT metric) Alloy and Steel wheels will fit your Brat. Depending on the tire size you use, it will increase your ground clearance, and look real spiffy too. You can send pics to GD or me, or some others on this board that have server space, and we can post full size pics if you want. I dont know why they would leave the center out of a bumper like that Some of the import pick ups here dont come with a rear bumper either, you have to purchase it when you buy the truck, but our Brats always had the full bumper.

Well, I guess we know those will fit on the EA82 hoods now

late sunday run (a few pics and vids)

I was wondering how GD kept snapping axles. Now I know why -
Good luck, have fun. Are you driving, or renting when you get down there?

Jason, you need to check the board more often I posted the Turbo Coupe for sale months ago. And even at the low price of $800, I get - Oh man, I wish I had the $, or something else. My Hatch sold pretty quick tho I still have the halfshafts, and with 2 EA82T cars, I'm sure I will need them sometime soon(?). I havent forgot ya :-p I might be updating the price on the T'Coupe tho, if the current interested buyer doesnt come thru. I need $ for parts on the RX. Oh, and I put my snowflakes on the car to see how they would look. The wheels need bigger tires for sure, these are 175's. If someone is willing to trade me the 5 snowflakes for 5 15" alloys, the RX would be pimping.

I would check the V at the lights themselfs. Maybe you have a draw somewhere. I have a pair of factory driving lights mounted on my 86 Turbo Wagon, and they do a pretty good job of filling in.
-
Ha, that happens to be his Chevy Those are very nice wheels, why dont you hang on to them for a while. I know of a car that they would look very nice on
-
Corky, you havent seen my collection of parts. Altho I still own one EA81, it might not be for very long. And I saw Qman on Sun and parts were mentioned. Tex, I know you said it was mild dish soap, but I was told by a paint shop that you never use dish soap on cars. Its actually pertoleum based (made to cut grease) and it will do the same to your car. I had a black 82 Coupe that I used dish soap on and it ruined the paint on it. I think I'll use Mequiers stuff, have in the past and its the best I've found.

Well, in earlier threads about this, and I'm sorry but I can remember who brought it up (I'm to lazy right now to look), but the Accel coils are oil filled. When mounted in the horizontal position, the oil isnt cooling the entire unit. Hence overheating is created, then failure results. But theres alot of people running thier coils in this postion, me included (the Hatch)and have had no probs for years. The chrome Accel I had in my 86 Turbo Wagon died in 3 months mounted horizontaly, so there isnt a definate pinpoint cause of failure. And it seems like its been in the last 6 months that the failures have popped up, so I'm leaning towards QC.

Quite ingenious. Cant wait to see how it runs.
-
Did this just happen after the drags at PIR? It could be your timing is off.
-
Aw come on, I'm not trying to make anyone jealous. Just wanted to show it off a little, and I did wait for almost a year to get it. Any time I was looking for parts for it (I knew what it needed) I was teased by some So, does anyone know of a good cleaner/polisher to take off the oxidation? I got all the moss and crud off Thanks for the heads up Scoob, I'll keep Aarons in mind.
-
Jerry, thanks for the offer. But I have no way of getting it over here. If I could get a few parts off it, that would be great. I have already put another rear bumper on, and need to replace the tail lights. But other than the engine(which I have) there is nothing this car needs but TLC. I'm going to beef it up a little, no monster. The typical stuff, intake-exhaust. This is going to be a daily driver, so a lift isnt going to happen. Tho I did like Ross's setup. Maybe I'll find another 3dr this winter and lift it The side skirts and rear skirt is missing, I'll be looking for a set Corky, I think if I used some gold pinstripe, the rear bumper will look fine.
-
Corky, no it doesnt have the gold stripe, but I plan on fixing that. And JWX, you had your opportunity for one of my cars before:)
-
Flow, I got the XT some time after you came over. For some reason I was the only one interested when the person posted it for sale in the marketplace. Well, not the only one, there were a few on the East Coast that were whining But the guy was nice enough to hold it for me till I sold one of my rigs. I drove around 150mi round trip to look at the car last year, and he delivered it today (for a fee, of course). I have already replaced the back bumper (he threw that in, with another full set of studded snows on WW's). Theres a few small dents/large dings, but nothing that cant be fixed easily. And I have some real nice wheels that will be going on too (stock 13's). At least till I can do a conversion like Tex did on his  Oh, and btw, I'm looking for some parts. Both rear taillights are broke and the side and rear skirts are missing.

Edit** I went back and found the original thread I started when I got my RX. Didnt realize its been its been this long, what a journey. I'm combining some other threads to this about my upgrades and stuff. After a year of waiting and hoping the owner wouldnt sell it to someone else or fix and drive it, I finally got the car I've been wanting. Black 89 RX Full Time 4wd with diff lock, LSD rear end, rear disc, etc. These are the beginning shots. As it progresses I'll be taking more pics. The engine was ran out of oil, so its got "some" issues. The thing got so hot, it melted the rear bumper around the exhaust pipe. I've already got the motor to replace it, and a spider intake also. So, what do ya'll think? Is it a keeper? Corky, I'll email the Vin # to you.

how to check for a bad coil ea82t
Turbone replied to nutt7's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Pretty much what he said above, and also missing under load. And finally crapping out and leaving you stranded somewhere in the middle of BFE. Yes, it happened to me Oops, sorry... the Wife (even worse) -
The Enkies are rare, get them if you can. Just make sure they fit a Soob. I had the 4 spokers on my coupe, and today I put a set of EA82 H alloys on, and to tell the truth they just dont look that great. Maybe just because they are on a EA81
-
Well, I think you win the prize for the worst damage ever to a EA block Thats a huge hole
-
Nah, I aint dead yet. Neither is the HP. We can only improve
-
I have a set of Peugeot 14" alloys with 195/65 tires on a 86 wagon with no rubbing at all.
