  2. If its been sitting for a couple of years with bad hg's, theres a good chance theres water in the crankcase and/or cylinders. Check the dipstick and if its overfilled theres water in the oil pan. Pull the plugs out and turn it over by hand. If water comes out you know its not good. Coolant will eat the cylinder walls and coolant in the pan will eat the bearings. Been there, done that
  3. Make sure the screw holding the disty rotor on is still there, or if the rotor spins. And I believe the engine is a EA82T.
  4. Also make sure if the core is even getting hot water. Both hoses thru the firewall from engine to the core hooked up?
  5. Man, my memory is toast Where is that pic of the JDM XT convert at a car show? I know I saw it on the XT forum.
  6. I think I got the pic from Ausubaru.com and its right hand drive, so I assumed it was from Aus. Maybe it is a PS chop.
  7. The XT6 convert is a conversion that was done in Australia.
  8. Yeah, have Russ look at it at AWD. He does wonders with alignment stuff. 425 828-3600
  9. Well, we've had 2 so I'm pretty sure there will be another one (around Mem Day).
  10. There was a meet, if thats what you're asking. And there was another one after that.
  11. I would get another estimate from a different shop. Make sure its a written estimate. For $3k you could buy another older Legacy.
  12. He's not in the Seattle area. Try AWD Auto in Kirkland, most of their work is on Subaru's. 425 828-3600, ask for Ryan or Ken.
  13. Power steering was a option until 83, then it was standard on the turbo models. I have seen a few 82's with ps, even my lifted hatch had it. Thats a nice looking Brat.
  14. No amount of reflective tape is going to ward off idiots, only the drivers that pay attention.
